We analyze various perturbative mechanisms for the production of jet events containing rapidity gaps in e + e − annihilation at LEP200 energies. We found that the processes e + e − → γ * γ * , γ * Z, ZZ, W W → 4 jets generate gap events at an observable rate. We point out that LEP200 offers a unique opportunity for the study of gap events due to a smaller background of " fake-gaps " .
