A total of 293 findings from 42 studies on the impact of publicized suicide stories in the media on the incidence of suicide in the real world were analyzed by logistic regression analysis. Studies measuring the effect of either an entertainment or political celebrity suicide story were 14.3 times more likely to find a copycat effect than studies that did not. Studies based on a real as opposed...

ISSUE: The Affordable Care Act's (ACA) coverage provisions have extended health insurance coverage to millions of Americans. While the effects of the Medicaid expansion and marketplace establishments on coverage have been well studied, the resulting effects of coverage on access to health care remain unclear. GOAL: To examine how the 2014 coverage expansions affected health care access followin...

− Measurements are nowadays permanent attendants of scientific research, health, medical care and treatment, industrial development, safety and even global economy. All of them depend on accurate measurements and tests, and many of these fields are under the legal metrology because of their severity. How the measurement is accurate, is expressed by uncertainty, which is obtained by multiplicati...

Uplink power control plays a key role on the performance of uplink cellular network. In this work, the power control factor(∈ [0, 1]) is evaluated based on three parameters namely: average transmit power, coverage probability and average rate. In other words, we evaluate power control factor such that average transmit power should be low, coverage probability of cell-edge users should be high a...

As large-scale wireless networks continue to proliferate, a reliable way to test coverage and communicate requirements becomes increasingly important. In this paper we discuss concerns and provide guidelines to consider when developing a coverage testing methodology for large-scale wireless networks. We propose a method which complies with these guidelines and apply it to a large municipal mesh...

Modified condition/decision coverage is a structural coverage criterion requiring that each condition within a decision is shown by execution to independently and correctly affect the outcome of the decision. This criterion was developed to help meet the need for extensive testing of complex Boolean expressions in safety-critical applications. The paper describes the modified condition/decision...

The project focuses on examining the advantages of random verification with real examples. Random verification has two necessary parts, hierarchical testbench and coverage metrics. The layered testbench allows a verifier to improve the coverage by only modifying the randomization constraints at the highest level of abstraction. Although it might take a verifier more time to build such hierarchi...

This paper presents a mathematical approach for determining the reliability of solar tracking systems based on three fault coverage-aware metrics which use system error data from hardware, software as well in-circuit testing (ICT) techniques, to calculate test factor (STF). Using Euler’s named constant, (SRF) is computed define robustness and availability modern, high-performance systems. The e...

This article presents a controlled experiment that compares the behavior of the testing techniques Statement Coverage and All Uses. The design of this experiment is typical for a factor with two alternatives. A total of 14 subjects carry out tests on a single program. The results indicate that there is enough statistical evidence to state that the cost of executing All Uses is higher than that ...

This paper describes SimpleNLG for German, a surface realisation engine for German based on SimpleNLG (Gatt and Reiter, 2009). Several features of the syntax of German and their implementation within the current framework are discussed, with a special focus on word order phenomena. Grammatical coverage of the system is demonstrated by means of selected examples.
