This work describes the design of a database named FlyEx, which contains numerical data on the expression of 13 Drosophila segmentation genes at cellular resolution. In this database gene expression data are tightly intergrated with statiotemporal information. We discuss the conceptual schema, structure and content of FlyEx, as well as its user interface.
