The author studies trends in commuting to the city of Zagreb in Croatia, Yugoslavia. Commuter surveys and bivariate analysis are used to describe the socioeconomic level, occupational status, transportation method, and place of residence of rural and urban residents who commute to the city. The purpose of this paper is to obtain some common fixed point theorems under weaker conditions such as sub compatible mappings and weakly commuting with respect g in the setting of non normal cone metric space.

and Applied Analysis 3 that w fw gw, that is, w is a common fixed point for f, g . If z is any common fixed point for f, g (i.e., fz gz z , then, again by the uniqueness of POC, it must be z w. The following result is due to Ðorić et al. [21]. It shows that the results of Jungck and Rhoades are not generalizations of results obtained from Lemma 2.1. Proposition 2.3 (see [21]). Let a pair of map...

Some fixed and coincidence point theorems for R-weakly commuting mappings are obtained. Our results generalize some recent results of Daffer and Kaneko [2] and many of the others. AMS Mathematics Subject Classification (2000): 54H25

We prove common fixed point theorems in symmetric spaces for two pairs of hybrid mappings using the concept of T−weakly and S−weakly commuting mappings satisfying generalized contractive conditions which generalize theorems of Aamri and El Moutawakil [J. Math. Anal. Appl., 270 (2002), 181–188.], Aamri and El Moutawakil [Appl. Math. E-notes., 3 (2003), 156–162.] and Aliouche [J. Math. Anal. Appl...

The existence of common periodic points for a family of continuous commuting self-mappings on an interval is proved and two illustrative examples are given in support of our theorem and definition. 1. Introduction and preliminaries. All mappings considered here are assumed to be continuous from the interval I = [u, v] to itself. Let F(f) and P (f) be the set of fixed and periodic points of f , ...
