background: the celiac axis, superior mesenteric artery (sma), and hepatic artery are the most important branches of abdominal aorta due to their vascularization field. the aim of our study was to evaluate the prevalence of different anatomical variation of celiac axis, sma, hepatic artery, and its branches with multidetector computed tomography (mdct) angiography of upper abdomen arteries. mat...

Umbilical artery catheters have been associated with thrombotic complications, such as partial or complete occlusion in the aorta, the renal arteries, and other blood vessels. There have been few reports of the long-term consequences of either symptomatic or asymptomatic thrombi. We report a patient, now 22 years of age, born with a normal aorta, who developed hypertension at the age of 2 month...

Abstract Detailed extraparenhymal renal hilar dissection was performed on 110 fixed cadaveric kidneys (60 from male cadavers and 50 female cadavers). We analyzed the number of arteries, angles between arteries abdominal aorta, length diameter arteries. Multiple were present in 20.9% cases, with a slightly higher incidence right side (21.8%: 20.0%). The angle aorta RRA varied 30° to 100° mean 64...

The incidence of anomalous left circumflex coronary artery (LÇX) originating from the right cusp of aorta is a rare finding. Ït has prevalence rate of 0.30% to 0.37% which may be overlooked by Çardiologists, and may lead to the improper treatment of the patients. Here, a 50 years old woman with non specific complaint referred to the clinic is introduced.

We have experienced three cases of retroesophageal right subclavian artery. Two cases were cadavers, and one case was a live human. In the two cadavers of a 68-year-old and a 76-year-old, respectively Japanese and European males, the right subclavian artery originated from the aorta after the aorta branched the right carotid artery, the left carotid artery and the left subclavian artery. The ri...

This report describes a patient with right-sided aortic arch, aberrant left subclavian artery and Kommerell diverticulum, who presented aneurysmal degeneration of the root to descending aorta, in addition an acute Type B 2-10 dissection. He underwent hybrid treatment valve-sparing replacement, transverse arch replacement reattachment right artery, bilateral common carotid arteries, thoracic end...

Patients with porcelain aorta carry a high risk of cerebral as well as systemic embolism during cardiac surgery. Here we describe a case of severe aortic stenosis and coronary artery disease combined with the circumferentially calcified aorta. The patient was a 77-year-old man who successfully received four coronary artery bypass grafts with in situ arterial grafts without clamping the aorta an...

Characteristics of the bindings of [H]( )dihydroalprenolol, [I]( ) iodocyanopindolol, ['H]prazosin, [H]yohimbine, and [H]nltrendiplne to porcine coronary membranes were investigated and the results compared with studies of porcine aortic membranes. In the equilibrium binding study carried out in sarcolemma-enriched fractions, there were no major differences in the Kj values of these radioligand...

We report on a unique clinically and surgically significant case of multiple abdominal aorta variations. Specifically, the left inferior phrenic, left gastric and splenic artery arose in common from the left aspect of the aorta constituting a common phrenogastrosplenic trunk, while the common hepatic artery originated separately from the midline of the anterior aspect of the aorta just inferior...
