We consider the pair of graphs S and T such that every 3-connected {S, T}-free graph is hamiltonian connected. Such pairs are called hamiltonian connected pairs. We show three new hamiltonian connected pairs. Combing our results and a result of Shepherd, we conclude that if {S, T} is a pair of graphs such that every 2-connected {S, T}-free graph is hamiltonian then every 3-connected {S, T}-free...

Chudnovsky and Seymour proved that every connected claw-free graph that contains a stable set of size 3 has chromatic number at most twice its clique number. We improve this for small clique size, showing that every claw-free graph with clique number at most 3 is 4-choosable and every claw-free graph with clique number at most 4 is 7-choosable. These bounds are tight.

We show that every connected induced subgraph of a graph G is dominated by an split if and only C-free, where C set six graphs which includes P7 C7, each containing P5. A similar characterization shown for the class are complete graph. Motivated these results, we study structural descriptions some classes (P7, C7)-free graphs. In particular, give C4, gem)-free diamond)-free Using satisfies χ(G)...

We discuss the computational complexity of determining the chromatic number of graphs without long induced paths. We prove NP-completeness of deciding whether a P 8-free graph is 5-colorable and of deciding whether a P 12-free graph is 4-colorable. Moreover, we give a polynomial time algorithm for deciding whether a P 5-free graph is 3-colorable.

‎In this paper, first we introduce the end of locally finite graphs as an equivalence class of infinite paths in the graph. Then we mention the ends of finitely generated groups using the Cayley graph. It was proved that the number of ends of groups are not depended on the Cayley graph and that the number of ends in the groups is equal to zero, one, two, or infinity. For ...

In this paper, we continue the study of the domination game in graphs introduced by Bre{v{s}}ar, Klav{v{z}}ar, and Rall. We study the paired-domination version of the domination game which adds a matching dimension to the game. This game is played on a graph $G$ by two players, named Dominator and Pairer. They alternately take turns choosing vertices of $G$ such that each vertex chosen by Domin...

A graph G is k-Hamilton-connected (k-hamiltonian) if G−X is Hamilton-connected (hamiltonian) for every setX ⊂ V (G) with |X| = k. In the paper, we prove that (i) every 5-connected claw-free graph with minimum degree at least 6 is 1Hamilton-connected, (ii) every 4-connected claw-free hourglass-free graph is 1-Hamilton-connected. As a byproduct, we also show that every 5-connected line graph with...

The triangle-free process begins with an empty graph on n vertices and iteratively adds edges chosen uniformly at random subject to the constraint that no triangle is formed. We determine the asymptotic number of edges in the maximal triangle-free graph at which the triangle-free process terminates. We also bound the independence number of this graph, which gives an improved lower bound on the ...
