For the first time a complete data set of the two-body decays of the f0(1370), f0(1500) and f0(1710) into all pseudoscalar mesons is available. The implications of these data for the flavour content for these three f0 states is studied. A short summary of two conferences on the hadron and gluonium spectrum is given, with personal comments on the status of the best candidates for gluonium or non-qq states, such as f0(1370), f0(1500), f0/2(1720), fJ(2230), η(1410), η(1460), and f1(1420).
The experiences of acute mountain sickness (AMS) as it has presented to a physician working in a general hospital at 1370 m in Kathmandu, nepal, are described. The features of 39 cases are analysed. It is suggested that AMS should be classified into benign and malignant forms.
From Dalitz-plot analyses of D → πππ and D → Kππ decays, we find evidence for light and broad scalar resonances σ(500) and κ(800). From a Dalitz-plot analysis of D s → π ππ decays, we measure the masses and decay widths of the scalar resonances f0(980) and f0(1370).
