Vector couplings in the Duffin-Kemmer-Petiau theory are revised. It is shown that minimal and nonminimal vector potentials behave differently under charge-conjugation and time-reversal transformations. In particular, it is shown that nonminimal vector potentials have been erroneously applied to the description of elastic meson-nucleus scatterings and that the space component of the nonminimal v...
The diamagnetic inequality for the magnetic Schrödinger semigroup is extended to the difference of the semigroups of magnetic Schrödinger operators with Neumann and Dirichlet boundary conditions on arbitrary open domains and rather general magnetic vector potentials A and potentials V . In particular, this bound renders moot all the technical issues in the recent proofs of the independence of t...
In the framework of Hardy type inequalities and their applications to evolution problems, paper deals with local nonlocal weighted improved related study Kolmogorov operators perturbed by singular potentials. The class weights is wide enough. We focus our attention on potentials obtained inverse square adding a nonnegative correction term. method used get results based introduction suitable vec...
in this thesis our aim is to construct vector field in r3 for which the corresponding one-dimensional maps have certain discontinuities. two kinds of vector fields are considered, the first the lorenz vector field, and the second originally introced here. the latter have chaotic behavior and motivate a class of one-parameter families of maps which have positive lyapunov exponents for an open in...
We consider a (2 + 1)-dimensional massless Dirac equation in the presence of complex vector potentials. It is shown that such vector potentials (leading to complex magnetic fields) can produce bound states, and the Dirac Hamiltonians are η-pseudo Hermitian. Some examples have been explicitly worked out.
Characteristic classes for the index of the Dirac family [unk](A) are computed in terms of differential forms on the orbit space of vector potentials under gauge transformations. They represent obstructions to the existence of a covariant Dirac propagator. The first obstruction is related to a chiral anomaly.
We investigate integrable 2-dimensional Hamiltonian systems with scalar and vector potentials, admitting second invariants which are linear or quadratic in the momenta. In the case of a linear second invariant, we provide some examples of weakly-integrable systems. In the case of a quadratic second invariant, we recover the classical strongly-integrable systems in Cartesian and polar coordinate...
