this paper proposes an alternative approach for efficiency analysis when a set of dmus uses interval scale variables in the productive process. to test the influence of these variables, we present a general approach of deriving dea models to deal with the variables. we investigate a number of performance measures with unrestricted-in-sign interval and/or interval scale variables.

AIMS (1) To examine the relation between neurological soft signs and measures of cognition, coordination, and behaviour in mainstream schoolchildren. (2) To determine whether high soft sign scores may predict children with significant problems in other areas. METHODS A total of 169 children aged between 8 and 13 years from mainstream schools were assessed. They form part of a larger study int...

We present formulations of two condition measures (one for linear programming (LP) due to Ye, and the other for a matrix) as optimization problems over sign constraints. We construct, based on LP duality, a dual characterization of Ye's condition measure in the setting of Karmarkar's form. The elementary formulations (without utilizing the dual characterization) lead to trivial proofs of some r...

Given the current lack of appropriate assessment tools for measuring deaf children's sign language skills, many test developers have used existing tests of other sign languages as templates to measure the sign language used by deaf people in their country. This article discusses factors that may influence the adaptation of assessment tests from one natural sign language to another. Two tests wh...
