The database research is always on the move. In order to integrate novel concepts, the significance of the database programmability aspect more and more increases. The programmability aspect focuses on internal components as well as on principle to push-down application logic to the database system. In this paper, we propose a novel database programming model and a corresponding database archit...

Upon initial examination, efforts toward achieving these 2 goals appear philosophically complementary. For example, both tout as a primary benefit improvement of access to health care services. However, closer inspection of these initiatives' more prominent features reveals seemingly irreconcilable demands. As described below, the push toward consumer-driven health plans as a way to offer affor...

Abstract National cancer plans (NCPs) saw a strong push with the recommendation of European Commission from 2009, which called upon Member States to adopt NCPs or national strategies. This process resulted in rapid adoption NCPs. Joint Action EPAAC developed Guide for Quality Cancer Control Programmes support their preparation. Europe's Beating Plan poses new task and challenge need transpose i...

T he social sciences—including economics—have long called for transparency in research to counter threats to producing robust and replicable results (for example, McAleer, Pagan, and Volker 1985; Roth 1994). Recently, the push for transparency has focused on a few specific policies. In this paper, we discuss the pros and cons of three of the more prominent proposed approaches: pre-analysis plan...

We examine the effects of different latency penalties in the evaluation of push notification systems, as operationalized in the TREC 2015 Microblog track evaluation. The purpose of this study is to inform the design of metrics for the TREC 2016 Real-Time Summarization track, which is largely modeled after the TREC 2015 evaluation design.

The goal of the present article is to compare neuromuscular activation patterns among medial-lateral, superior-inferior, and rotational positions palms for 14 selective muscles during push-up exercise. Muscle activity kinematics information fifteen males (68.35 ± 7.18 kg, 175 3.40 cm, 24.50 7.50 years) were recorded by Myon Electromyographic (EMG) system Vicon motion capture, respectively. EMG ...

in reinforced concrete design, there are situations where transfer of shear across a specific plane needs to be considered. examples of such situation include corbels, bearing shoes, ledger beam bearing, and a host of connection between precast concrete elements. in this study, the shear transfer behavior of reinforced concrete is investigated experimentally by conducting test on 6 precracked p...

the objective of this study was to determine the effects of grasp conditions (types of grasp, grasp width, glove and types of coupling) on maximal pushing force (mpf) and required pinch force (rpf) during snap fit assembly. the results indicated that the type of grasp, the type of coupling and wearing gloves have significant (p

A fully integrated single-ended output pushpush oscillator is realized using an advanced 0.2μm SiGe HBT process. Up to –5 dBm output power is achieved at 180 GHz using a technology with a transition frequency fT of 200 GHz and maximum oscillation frequency fMAX of 275 GHz. Preliminary phase noise measurements show a phase noise of less than –90 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset from the 180 GHz carrier.

INTRODUCTION Designing a radiation plan that optimally delivers both target coverage and normal tissue sparing is challenging. There are limited tools to determine what is dosimetrically achievable and frequently the experience of the planner/physician is relied upon to make these determinations. PlanIQ software provides a tool that uses target and organ at risk (OAR) geometry to indicate the d...
