In this work we present a critical study of the nucleic acid layer immobilized at glassy carbon electrodes. Different studies were performed in order to assess the nature of the interaction between DNA and the electrode surface. The adsorption and electrooxidation of DNA demonstrated to be highly dependent on the surface and nature of the glassy carbon electrode. The DNA layer immobilized at a ...
reduced graphene oxide film was synthesized on a glassy carbon electrode by electro reduction of graphene oxide powders in aqueous solution. then platinum nano particles were deposited on reduced graphene oxide film that was deposited on the glassy carbon electrode via electro reduction of platinum salt. the physical morphology of the platinum on reduced graphene oxide film was evaluated by sca...
Electrochemical behaviour of acetaminophen at the multi wall carbon nanotubes/titanium dioxide (MWCNT/TiO2) composite film modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) via solvent casting method was studied. It is shown that the MWCNT/TiO2/GCE exhibits remarkable improvement in analytical response as compared to other electrodes. Comparing the responses of the MWCNT/TiO2/GCE with that obtained at the...
A sensor, based on multi-wall carbon nanotubes modified glassy carbon electrode (MWCNT/GCE), was developed for determination of fenitrothion. Determining the surface area of MWCNT/GCE showed that this surface is three times more active than that of a glassy carbon electrode. The experimental parameters, such as the amount of MWCNTs, pH of the fenitrothion solution, preconcentration potential an...
The surface of the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) is modified with the composite of new Cobalt complex with a tetradentate Schiff base ligand derived from 3-ethoxysalicylaldehyde and 4,5-dimethyl orthophenylenediamine (CoOEtSal) and multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT). The electrochemical oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA) and dopamine (DA) at the modified electrode was studied using the cyclic an...
We report on a novel voltammetric detection of oxalic acid by using glassy carbon electrodes with covalently attached nitrogen-containing functional groups prepared by stepwise electrolysis. A glassy carbon electrode electrooxidized in an ammonium carbamate solution was electroreduced at -1.0 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) in 1.0 M sulfuric acid for a long time. We found that the electrocatalytic oxidation wa...
Electrochemical oxidation of quercetin, as an important biological molecule, has been studied in non-aqueous media using cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. To investigate the electrochemical properties of quercetin, an important flavonoid derivative, on a different surface, a new glassy carbon electrode has been developed using dithiooxa...
We report on the electrochemical alteration of a nickel(II) bis-glyoximato complex into nickel-based nanoparticles at a glassy carbon electrode under acid reducing conditions. These particles show electrocatalytic activity towards hydrogen production at +410 mV compared to the bare glassy carbon electrode. Mechanistic insights are discussed based on DFT calculations.
In this research, a glassy carbon electrode was coated with a thin layer of multi-walled carbon nanotubes in the presence of the surfactant and subsequently was electro-polymerized with Poly-L-arginine (P-L-Arg). The prepared electrode was used as an effective sensor for the quantitative detection of Rutin (Ru). The fabricated electrode exhibited good electrochemical performance with low electr...
a thin film of epinephrine (ep) was electrochemically deposited on the surface of glassy carbon electrode previously activated in nahco3 solution. the cyclic voltammograms of the modified electrode indicate that the surface confined ep are strongly dependent on the solution ph, as expected for quinone/hydroquinone functionalities. the ep-modified glassy carbon electrode exhibited catalytic acti...
