The P → ∞ limit was considered in the spherical P-spin glass. It is possible to store information in the vacuum configuration of ferromagnetic phase. Maximal allowed level of noise was calculated in ferromagnetic phase.

An effective dynamical description of a general class of stochastic phase oscillators is presented. For this, the effective phase velocity is defined either by the stochastic phase oscillators invariant probability density or its first passage times. Using the first approach the effective phase exhibits the correct frequency and invariant distribution density, whereas the second approach models...

A number of approaches to parametric estimation of signal phase are addressed. The goal is to estimate the phase, or more precisely, the parameters of the phase of a signal corrupted by white Gaussian noise. Signal models are restricted to those with linear and quadratic phase, but many of the results presented are applicable to signals with higher order phase laws. Results highlight the classi...

Lowand intermediate mass Higgs bosons decay preferably into fermion pairs. The one-loop electroweak corrections to the respective decay rates are dominated by a flavour-independent term of O(GFmt ). We calculate the two-loop gluon correction to this term. It turns out that this correction screens the leading high-mt behaviour of the one-loop result by roughly 10%. We also present the two-loop Q...

The phase functions of single mineral dust particles levitated in an electrodynamic balance have been measured. Normalized phase functions and the asymmetry parameter could be determined because nearly the full range of scattering angles was available: 0.5° to 177°. The particles have been characterized using microscopy.

In this paper, we will introduce the notion of conjugate phase retrieval, which is a relaxed definition of phase retrieval allowing recovery of signals up to conjugacy as well as a global phase factor. It is known that frames of real vectors are never phase retrievable on C in the ordinary sense, but we show that they can be conjugate phase retrievable in complex vector spaces. We continue to d...

This survey is devoted to the dynamic analysis of the Costas loop. In particular the acquisition process is analyzed in great detail. Acquision is most conventiently described by a number of frequency and time parameters such as lock-in range, lock-in time, pull-in range, pull-in time, and hold-in range. While for the classical PLL equations for all these parameters have been derived (many of t...

In this paper a new phase-frequency detector is proposed using transmission gates which can detect phase difference less than 500ps. In other word, the proposed Phase-frequency Detector (PFD) can work in frequencies higher than 1.7 GHz, whereas a conventional PFD operates at frequencies less than 1.1 GHz. This new architecture is designed in TSMC 0.13um CMOS Technology. Also, the proposed PFD a...

Due to the nonlinear nature of the Bang-Bang phase-locked loops (BBPLLs), its transient analysis is very difficult. In this paper, new equations are proposed for expression of transient behavior of the second order BBPLLs to phase step input. This approach gives new insights into the transient behavior of BBPLLs. Approximating transient response to reasonable specific waveform the loop tran...
