We derive the contribution of ∆-h excitations to quasielastic charged-current neutrino-nucleus scattering in the framework of relativistic mean-field theory. We discuss the effect of ∆ production on the determination of the axial mass MA in neutrino scattering experiments. We discuss shadowing corrections to the structure function F2 in neutrino deep-inelastic scattering on heavy nuclear targets. In particular, we examine the role played by shadowing in the comparison of the structure functions F2 measured in neutrino and muon deep inelastic scattering. The importance of shadowing corrections in the determination of the strange quark distributions

We comment on some implications of theories with large compactification radii and TeV-scale quantum gravity. These include the behavior of high-energy gravitational scattering cross sections and consequences for ultrahigh-energy cosmic rays and neutrino scattering, the question of how to generate naturally light neutrino masses, the issue of quark-lepton unification, the equivalence principle, ...

A neutrino event generator developed by the Wroc law Neutrino Group is described. The physical models included in the generator are discussed and illustrated with the results of simulations. The considered processes are quasi-elastic scattering and pion production modelled by combining the ∆ resonance excitation and deep inelastic scattering.

We discuss effect of nuclear shadowing in neutrino deep-inelastic scattering in terms of non perturbative parton model. We found that for small Bjorken x and large Q2 the structure function F3 is shadowed in nuclei about two times as stronger as F2. The underlying reason and phenomenological aspects of this observation are discussed. Key-words: neutrino, deep inelastic scattering, nuclear effec...

In preparation for a set of hydrodynamical simulations of core-collapse supernovae and protoneutron star winds, we investigate the rates of production and thermalization of νμ and ντ neutrinos in dense nuclear matter. Included are contributions from electron scattering, electron-positron annihilation, nucleon-nucleon bremsstrahlung, and nucleon scattering. We find that nucleon scattering domina...

The neutrino flux and spectra formation in a supernova core is studied by using a Monte Carlo code. The dominant opacity contribution for νμ is elastic scattering on nucleons νμN → Nνμ, where νμ always stands for either νμ or ντ . In addition we switch on or off a variety of processes which allow for the exchange of energy or the creation and destruction of neutrino pairs, notably nucleon brems...

We carry out a relativistic calculation of the cross sections of electron-O and -C quasi-elastic scattering and quasi-free ∆ production and compare with the (e, e) data systematically in the wide energy range of 0.5 – 1.5 GeV. Using the same formalism, we examine the νμ quasi-elastic scattering from O. The model incorporating the nuclear correlation effects agrees better with the electron-nucle...

Measurements of the structure function xF γZ 3 are now becoming available in charged lepton deep inelastic scattering at HERA. The correction factors which are necessary to compare these with measurements of xF νN 3 in neutrino-nucleon scattering are deduced and a comparison is made between the H1 and the CCFR data. A sum rule is derived for the structure function xF γZ 3 measured in charged le...
