The rapid development of science and technology has brought urgent demand for diversity in polymer structures functionalities, the pursuit new polymerizations is constant goal chemistry. Multicomponent reactions (MCRs)—reactions three or more starting materials able to generate a single product one-pot manner—feature series advantages such as simple reactants, easy operation, mild conditions, h...
This review covers sixty original publications dealing with the application of multicomponent reactions (MCRs) in the synthesis of novel nucleoside analogs. The reported approaches were employed for modifications of the parent nucleoside core or for de novo construction of a nucleoside scaffold from non-nucleoside substrates. The cited references are grouped according to the usually recognized ...
Multicomponent reactions (MCRs) are one of the most important processes for the preparation of highly functionalized organic compounds in modern synthetic chemistry. As shown in this review, they play an important role in organophosphorus chemistry where phosphorus reagents are used as substrates for the synthesis of a wide range of phosphorylated heterocycles. In this article, an overview abou...
A novel multicomponent synthesis of ketene dithioacetal rhodanines has been reported by reactions of primary amine, carbon disulfide, ethyl chloroacetate, and alkyl halide in DMF. The catalytic effects of different bases have been investigated and potassium carbonate can efficiently catalyze the reaction in moderate to good yields at room temperature. 2013 Elsevier Ltd. An efficient method to synthesis the 2H-pyrans using three component reactions of dithiocarbamats, activated acetylenes and isocyanides in water as the solvent is described. In these reactions, synthesis of 2H-pyrans is possible based on the one-pot reaction and without using any catalyst. The mild reaction conditions and high yields of the products exhibit synthetic advantage of these methods.
