Transparent oxide rolled-up microtube arrays were constructed on Si substrates by the deposition of a pre-stressed oxide layer on a patterned photoresist sacrificial layer and the subsequent removal of this sacrificial layer. These microtubes as well as their arrays can be well positioned onto a chip for further applications, while their dimensions (e.g. length, diameter and wall thickness) are...

The microtubes are important structures in nano electromechanical system .in this study a nonlocal model is presented to investigate the static torsion behavior of microtubes made of bi-directional factionally graded material (BDFGM) subjected to a longitudinal magnetic field. Mechanical properties of BDFGM microtube varies in the radial and longitudinal direction according to an arbitrary func...

Novel magnetic carbon microtube-based solid acid was synthesized via the carbonization of FeCl3-doped willow catkin and benzenediazoniumsulfonate acid-based sulfonation. The biomass provided special microtube structure high surface area 215 m2/g for novel acid. well conserved during mild (400 °C) sulfonation process. large number acidic sites (2.3 mmol/g) on quite accessible to reactants. Its p...

Nanocrystals of Ln3+ (Ln = Yb, Tm and Ho) doped β-NaLuF4 with average diameter about 200 nm are dispersed in silica-based microtube (MT) by a simple flame heating method. The fabricated microtube has a diameter range from 2 μm to 30 μm and lengths up to hundreds microns. The fluorescence of upconversion nanocrystals (UCNCs) can propagate along a single MT and couple into another MT through evan...

The malachite green microtube (MGMT) susceptibility assay was performed directly on sputum specimens (n = 80) and indirectly on Mycobacterium tuberculosis clinical isolates (n = 60). The technique is based on the malachite green dye, which changes color in response to M. tuberculosis growth. The MGMT assay is simple and rapid and does not require expensive instruments.

Metal halide perovskites are promising materials for optoelectronic and photonic applications ranging from photovoltaics to laser devices. However, current perovskite devices constrained simple low-dimensional structures suffering limited design freedom holding up performance improvement functionality upgrades. Here, a micro-origami technique is developed program 3D microarchitectures toward ne...

High-pressure tube hydroforming is a promising method to deform the tubes in various shapes by bulging applying high internal pressure. However, challenges lie process itself, i.e., requires an expensive pump system and brings excessive thinning deformed part section. One option reduce required pressure solve these difficulties, other provide axial feed deformation zone thinning. due higher loa...
