Public transit ridership offers valuable opportunities for modest amounts of daily physical activity (PA). Transit is a more feasible option for most Canadian commuters who live too far from work to walk or cycle, yet public transit usage in midsized Canadian cities has historically remained low due to inefficient transit service. The objectives of this longitudinal study were threefold: to ass...

BACKGROUND Active transportation has been associated with favorable health outcomes. Previous research highlighted the influence of neighborhood educational level on active transportation. However, little is known regarding the effect of commuting distance on social disparities in active commuting. In this regard, women have been poorly studied. The objective of this paper was to evaluate the r...

Here we study dilations of q-commuting tuples. In [BBD] the authors gave the correspondence between the two standard dilations of commuting tuples and here these results have been extended to q-commuting tuples. We are able to do this when q-coefficients ‘qij ’ are of modulus one. We introduce ‘maximal q-commuting subspace ’ of a n-tuple of operators and ‘standard q-commuting dilation’. Our mai...

The commuting graph of a group is a graph with vertexes set of a subset of a group and two element are adjacent if they commute. The aim of this paper is to obtain the automorphism group of the commuting graph of a conjugacy class in the symmetric groups. The clique number, coloring number, independent number, and diameter of these graphs are also computed.

R is called commuting regular ring (resp. semigroup) if for each x,y $in$ R there exists a $in$ R such that xy = yxayx. In this paper, we introduce the concept of commuting $pi$-regular rings (resp. semigroups) and study various properties of them.

Six explanations for differences in worktrips between men and women and among different groups of women workers are reviewed in this paper. The first argues that women’s secondary role in the labor force and the dual roles women assume (combining paid work with domestic responsibilities) reinforce their resistance to long worktrips. The second explanation is that women’s economic returns to com...

introduction commuting between urban centers and rural areas is a phenomenon that observed in all countries with different social and economic structure. commuting is a new phenomenon in move of population that emerged with metropolis development. this phenomenon is different with other population movement. because this move does not change in residential place, population work in other place. ...

the non commuting graph of a non-abelian finite group $g$ is defined as follows: its vertex set is $g-z(g)$ and two distinct vertices $x$ and $y$ are joined by an edge if and only if the commutator of $x$ and $y$ is not the identity. in this paper we prove some new results about this graph. in particular we will give a new proof of theorem 3.24 of [2]. we also prove that if $g_1$, $g_2$, ..., $...

We introduce the notion of commuting regular Γsemiring and discuss some properties of commuting regular Γsemiring. We also obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for Γ-semiring to possess commuting regularity. Keywords—Commutative Γ-semiring, Idempotent Γ-semiring, Rectangular Γ-band, Commuting regular Γ-semiring, Clifford Γsemiring.

This paper focuses on regional variations in commuting trip lengths by calculating minimum (required) commuting distances, along with excess commuting rates. The study contributes to the excess commuting research framework from a regional perspective, both by stressing the specific characteristics of urban networks with overlapping commute areas, and by putting forward an alternative method for...
