The pharmacokinetics of levofloxacin following its single intramuscular administration (3 mg/kg) was investigated in six male buffalo calves. Peak plasma level of 2.95 ± 0.13μg/ml was observed at 1 h and the drug level above MIC90  in plasma was detected up to 12 h of administration. The bioavailability was 68.1 ± 5.4% and levofloxacin was bound to the plasma proteins to the extent of 19.1 ± 1....

stress-related mucosal damage (srmd) is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in critically ill patients due to the gastrointestinal blood loss. prophylaxis of srmd with proton pump inhibitors or histamine-2 blockers has gained widespread use in intensive care units. both demonstrated to be effective in reducing clinically significant bleedings, while ppis has shown to exert some anti ...

Many recent creationists are attracted to plasma astronomy, the idea that electromagnetic effects rather than gravity are responsible for much of the structure of the universe. I examine the claims of at least one proponent of plasma astronomy, Donald E. Scott. Scott has written a book that discusses many aspects of plasma astronomy. This book appears to be the most concise treatment of plasma ...

Objective: This study is to investigate the effect of defibrase on deep vein thrombosis (DVT) following the surgical treatment for pelvic fracture. Methods: This study included 40 patients who received surgical treatment for pelvic fracture. Blood samples were collected at 24 h before surgery, and 24 h and 72 h after surgery. Plasma levels of endothelin (ET), thromboxane B2 (TXB2), and 6-Keto-P...

The study was conducted to determine the plasma concentrations and pharmacokinetic parameters of rafoxanide after a single intravenous (10 mg/kg) and oral (22.5 mg/kg) administrations in black Bengal female goats. Maximum (87.63 11.71 mg/mL) and minimum (1.8 0.24 mg/mL) plasma concentrations of rafoxanide were recorded at 0.08 and 12 h respectively after i.v. administration. The elimination h...
