Recent calculations of the order (Zα)4 m M Ry pure recoil correction to hydrogen energy levels are critically revised. The origins of errors made in the previous works are elucidated. In the framework of a successive approach, we obtain the new result for the correction to S levels. It amounts to −16.4 kHz in the ground state and −1.9 kHz in the 2S state.

We present results for the ground state and first excited state static potentials in the confinement " phase " of the SU(2) Higgs model. String breaking and the crossing of the energy levels are clearly visible. We address the question of the cutoff effects in our results and observe a remarkable scaling of the static potentials.

Variationally exact rovibrational levels for the H3 + and H2D ÷ molecules are calculated using a recently published accurate potential.
