Fractal theory has been used widely for studying the scaling properties of different biological and ecological time series [1-3]. A phenomenon showinga repeating pattern at every scale is called fractal [4]. Fractals can be regular or complex [5]. In fact, fractal objects can be characterized using a scaling exponent that is called fractal dimension. Regular and complex fractals have integer an...
The microstructure of porous lignocellulose has irregularity, which represents self-similarity within the scope of a certain scale, and the conversion process of lignocellulose to bioethanol is complex. The fractal theory appears to be well suited to be an effective tool for describing and studying such irregularity and complexity. Why not introduce the fractal theory as a potentially efficient...
Introduction: Many natural phenomena have many variables that make it difficult to find relationships between them using common mathematical methods. This problem, along with the impossibility of measuring all elements of nature, has led to a major evolution in the way of understanding and explaining phenomena. In this way, one can use the fractal geometry with the theory that many natural phen...
Knowledge of the spatial dependency of soil properties, sensitive to grazing systems, is important from an ecosystem protection point of view. In the current study, geostatistical methods and fractal concepts have been used in order to characterize the impact of long-term grazing exclusion on the spatial variability of some soil chemical parameters including organic matter, total nitrogen, avai...

This paper presents an analytical framework for the physical environment of cities using fractal theory. The strength approach lies in its simplicity and precision. equations presented this article comprise: number occupied sites area; population length roads a city; dimension; average maximum levels (floors per building); density roads; what are limits to growth as well analysis on some city’s...
In terms of the present short-term load forecasting(STLF) methods, whether the linear or the nonlinear, neither could meet the STLF requirements better with the rapid developments of electrical power systems and electrical power markets, and so a novel STLF method was proposed based on fractal theory in this paper. Firstly, the paper investigated the fractal characteristics of power system load...
We report on a Fourier series approach that predicts the focal points and intensities produced by fractal zone plate lenses. This approach allows us to separate the effects of the fractal order from those of the lens aperture. We implement these fractal lenses onto a liquid-crystal display and show experimental verification of our theory.
. In this paper the principle of fractal theory and fractal brownion motion(FBM) are analyzed in detail. And it also analyses the physical meaning of FBM’s two parameters H and σ . The improved Diamond-Square algorithm is discussed in light of fractal interpolation and use it to simulate cloud, two-dimension texture terrain surface and three-dimension terrain. There are many kinds of effect whe...
