Dental plaque is a bacterial biofilm structure, neatly organized and attached to the tooth surface, which contains inorganic components such as calcium phosphorus derived from saliva. Bacteria in that stick surface of teeth will provide place for new bacteria grow. Disclosing solution coloring agent works change color dental contrast with white surface. Erythrosine red commonly used disclosing ...

Dental plaque removal is an important issue in health promotion. Toothbrushing is one of the main methods employed for such purpose, since it can prevent dental caries by means of the fluoride present in the dentifrice. Dentifrices might contain plaque disclosing agents and thus allow dental plaque observation. The aim of this study was to assess whether utilization of a plaque disclosing agent...

in this study, the trace amounts of erythrosine, as a food dye is determined by cloud point extraction-scanometry (cpe-scanometry) as a new, facile, available, fast, sensitive, and low cost method. the method is based on the cpe of analyte from aqueous solution, diluting the extracted surfactant-rich phase with ethanol, transfer to plexiglas®cell and scanning the cells containing the analyte so...

The reaction of macrophages to asbestos and glass fibers was studied by light and by electron microscopy. Measurements were made of LDH release, staining with erythrosine B, and lactate production. Size and shape of asbestos fibers were found to have more effect than the physicochemical properties of the surface. Long fibers resulted in a protracted pathogenic but no acute cytotoxic effect.

1. The amounts of iodine in nationally representative samples of prepared and cooked groups of foods and in a wide variety of individual foods and food products were determined colorimetrically. The amounts of erythrosine, a red food colour containing 577 mg I/g were also determined in selected foods and diets by high-performance liquid chromatography. 2. The average British diet was calculated...

Dye contamination in water is a serious environmental problem around the world. Erythrosine is a water-soluble xanthenes class of dye that widely used as colorant in many industries. Used cigarette filter ash loaded with Al/ Fe oxides was synthesized by a low-cost, simple, and environmentally benign procedure. The adsorbent was characterized by several methods including energy dispersive X-ray ...

We examined a simple screening method for judging the complex formation between a drug and aluminum(III) on a spot plate. As few drug had color reaction by basing on the binary complex formation of drug-aluminum(III), the ternary complex formation of drug-aluminum(III)-dye was studied this time using 50 kinds of drugs. The dyes used were Chromazurol S and Erythrosin. As a result, in the drug th...
