Amylases are one of the most important enzymes in present-day biotechnology. The present study was concerned with the production and partial characterization of extracellular amylase from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens P-001. The effect of various fermentation conditions on amylase production through shake-flask culture was investigated. Enzyme production was induced by a variety of starchy substra...
the snake venom´s thrombin-like enzymes comprise a number of serine proteases, which are functionally and structurally related to thrombin. purification and partial characterization of a thrombin-like enzyme from the venom of the iranian snake, agkistrodon halys, was the aim of this study. purification was carried out by a combination of variety of chromatographic methods that included: gel fil...
Lisinopril is a drug of the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor class that is primarily used in the treatment of hypertension. During the scale-up of the lisinopril process, one unknown impurity was observed and is identified. The present work describes the origin, synthesis, characterization, and control of this impurity. This paper also describes the synthesis and characterization o...
Pseudomonas aeruginosa EF2, ATCC 9027 and ATCC 19660 were grown in a continuous culture under Tween 80 (polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate) limitation and optimum conditions (pH 6.5, 37°C at dilution rate of 0.05/h). Culture supernatants were carefully removed and stored at -20°C. To purify the lipases, the culture supernatant was reduced in volume to approximately 10 mL by an ultrafiltra...
This study reports the purification and biochemical characterization of thermostable and acidic-pH-stable α-amylase from Bacillus sp. Iranian S1 isolated from the desert soil (Gandom-e-Beryan in Lut desert, Iran). Amylase production was found to be growth associated. Maximum enzyme production was in exponential phase with activity 2.93 U ml-1 at 50°C and pH 5. The enzyme was purified by isoprop...
Introduction: The use of L-asparaginase as a chemotherapeutic agent is an effective strategy for the treatment of leukemic lymphoblasts. Since the use of bacterial L-asparaginase causes side effects due to hypersensitivity reactions, search for new enzyme sources is one of the active research areas. In this study, the characterization of produced L-asparaginase by indigenous yeast strains was i...
screening of3000 soil samples collected from cities of four different provinces of iran for starch-hydrolysing bacteria revealed that the nature is enriched with streptomyces species capable of producing amylolytic enzymes. among the bacterial isolates, one of the high starch-degrading strains was selected for further microbiological identification and also amylolytic enzyme(s) characterization...
The paper shows that there is no finite set of forbidden minors which characterizes classes of independence models that are representable by Gaussian, discrete and binary distributions, respectively. In addition, a way to prove the nonexistence of a finite characterization for any other class of independence models is suggested. MSC 2000: 60A99, 68T30, 94A15

In this paper, we obtain a forbidden-minor characterization of the class of binary gammoids M such that, for every pair of elements x, y of M, both the splitting matroid Mx,y and the element splitting matroid M ′ x,y are binary gammoids.
