in this paper, we study a special class of generalized douglas-weyl metrics whose douglas curvature is constant along any finslerian geodesic. we prove that for every landsberg metric in this class of finsler metrics, ? = 0 if and only if h = 0. then we show that every finsler metric of non-zero isotropic flag curvature in this class of metrics is a riemannian if and only if ? = 0.

van Ooyen, A., J. van Pelt, M.A. Comer and F.H. Lopes da Silva, Long-lasting transients of activation in neural networks, Neurocomputing 4 (1992) 75-87. The question has been investigated whether long-lasting transients of activatio~ (i.e. slow waves), observed to occur in the intact cerebral cortex (EEG "delta" waves and "K" complexes) as well as in isolated tissue cultured in vitro, can also ...

A general linear programming model for an order-theoretic analysis of both Edmonds' ~eedy algorithm for matroids and the NW-comer rule for transportation problems with Monge costs is introduced. This approach includes the model of Queyranne, Spieksma and Tardella (1993) as a special case. We solve the problem by optimal greedy algorithms for rooted forests as underlying structures. Other solvab...

Although a number of different models have been suggested for the process that brings workers and firms together in the labour market, none of these performs well in empirical studies of the aggregate matching function. Empirically, the most successful functional form is Cobb-Douglas, for which there are no microfoundations in the existing literature. I present a new model for the matching proc...

This paper tries to estimate the capital investment required for the fixed-telephony network switching equipment as demanded by the fourth national development plan. As a first step, the Cobb-Douglas model is used as a successful demand forecasting model to estimate the demand over the target years. Then, an architectural plan is developed for the fixed-telephony switching network that takes in...

In many cases, such as trajectories clustering and classification, we often divide a trajectory into segments as preprocessing. In this paper, we propose a trajectory semantic segmentation method based on learned behavior models. In the proposed method, we learn some behavior models from video sequences. Next, using learned behavior models and a hidden Markov model, we segment a trajectory into...

The classic Douglas-Peucker line-simplification algorithm is recognized as the one that delivers the best perceptual representations of the original lines. It may, however, produce simplified polyline that is not topologically equivalent to the original one consisting of all vertex samples. On the basis of properties of the polyline hulls, Saalfeld devised a simple rule for detecting topologica...

Enterprises are investing heavily in cloud data centers to meet the ever surging business demand. Data Center is a facility, which houses computer systems and associated components, such as telecommunications and storage systems. It generally includes power supply equipment, communication connections and cooling equipment. A large data center can use as much electricity as a small town. In toda...
