achaemenid glazed bricks of archaeological excavation of tall-e-ajori in persepolis city were studied by multiple instrumental analysis methods  such as xrf, xrd, sem-eds, icp and optical microscopy to identify the compositional features of glaze and brick body. glaze samples are apparently white and yellow  and this phenomenon are caused by the deterioration processes in burial environment, he...

Prussian blue and its analogues consisting of different transition-metal ions (Fe, Mn, Ni, Cu, Co and Zn) have been synthesized at room temperature. Insertion of Na into KFe(2)(CN)(6) in a carbonate electrolyte exhibited a reversible capacity near 100 mA h g(-1) with no capacity fade in 30 cycles. The data indicate that a Na-ion battery with a Prussian blue framework as a cathode will be feasible.

Organic-inorganic hybrid of cobalt phosphonate hollow nanostructured spheres were prepared in a water-ethanol system through a mild hydrothermal process in the absence of any templates using diethylenetriamine penta(methylene phosphonic acid) as bridging molecule. SEM, TEM and N2 sorption characterization confirmed a hollow spherical micromorphology with well-defined porosity. The structure and...

Mesoporous cobalt hexacyanoferrate nanocubes (meso-CoHCF) were prepared for the first time through a facile sacrificial template method. The CoHCF mesostructures possess a high specific surface area of 548.5 m²·g-1 and a large amount of mesopores, which enable fast mass transport of electrolyte and abundant energy storage sites. When evaluated as supercapacitor materials, the meso-CoHCF materia...

Since the introduction of the indirect ophthalmoscope by Schepens (I947), the field of ophthalmology has witnessed an increasing sophistication in the instrument (Hovland, Elzeneiny, and Schepens, I969; Weaver, I 970). The recently introduced miniature indirect binocular ophthalmoscope of Schultz and Crock (Crock, Galbraith, and Parel, I969) offers a lightweight spectacle-frame instrument with ...

Herein, we suggest a novel chemical precipitation method to prepare different concentrations (0.05–0.25 M) of cobalt doped Bi2O3 nanoparticles. The prepared products exhibit excellent structural and optical properties. The influence of doping on the morphology of Bi2O3 was analyzed by FE-SEM and confirmed by HR-TEM. Furthermore, the photocatalytic activities of the samples were studied in the d...

We report the mechanisms for reversible and repeatable spin transition in a Prussian blue analog crystal, KCo[Fe(CN)6], derived from first-principles calculations. The forward and reverse transitions are initiated by metal-to-metal charge transfer, followed by the d-electron rearrangement at the Co center. Further, these transitions are strongly correlated with bond lengths within the crystal l...

Green hydrogen: Cyanide-bound cobalt hydroxides in-situ grown from Prussian blue analogue Co3[Co(CN)6]2 in alkaline solution deliver excellent activity with low anodic onset potential for biomass oxidation. The performance is attributed to the cyanide group and adjacent unsaturated Co sites cooperatively promoting oxidation associated stabilization.

Humidity indicators based on composite polyamide 66/cobalt chloride (PA66/CoCl2) nanofibrous membranes (NFMs) were successfully fabricated by electrospinning. A series of NFMs with various weight percentage of CoCl2 to PA66 were prepared, and their humidity sensitivity based on color changing and quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) were studied. Due to the color change property of cobalt chloride...

Abstract Thermomicroscopy, or hot-stage microscopy, is primarily used in the analysis of organic materials such as pharmaceuticals and polymers. However, its potential application to study inorganic systems remains largely unexplored. A thermomicroscope was developed utilising red, green, blue (RGB) colour profiles individual micrographs taken at fixed temperatures follow temperature programmed...
