Mycobacterium sp. strain djl-10, an efficient degrader of carbendazim, was isolated from a carbendazim manufacturing wastewater treatment system. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of djl-10, which consists of a chromosome and three plasmids.
The study investigated the effect of various doses of carbendazim on the morphology of the magnum of the Japanese quail. No morphological changes were observed in the magnum in birds treated with carbendazim at doses of 25 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg bodyweight. A carbendazim dose of 400 mg/kg bodyweight was the lowest dose which caused morphological changes in the magnum. Histologically, carbendazim c...
introduction the environmental impact quotient (eiq) developed by kovach et al (1992) is used an effort to fill an important gap; i.e. the need to provide farmers and others with easy-to-use information about the adverse effects of pesticides. it represents a method for calculating the environmental impacts of pesticides, and the values obtained from these calculations can be used to compare di...
The content and homologue composition of alkylresorcinols were investigated in rye seedlings (Secale cereale L.) treated with benzimidazole fungicides and grown for 5 days under various thermal and light conditions. The fresh and dry biomasses of green and etiolated plants were greatly increased by benomyl and carbendazim at 29 °C. At 22 and 15 °C benomyl had an inhibitory action on growth of r...
background: methyl 2-benzimidazole carbamate (carbendazim) is a synthetic fungicide used against organisms that cause different types of plant diseases. it is widely used as a preservative in leather, paint, textile, fruit, and paper industry. it is also used as an anticancer drug in clinical medicine. methods: to evaluate the low dose toxicity of this compound in mammalian tissues, carbendazim...
Abstract—In the present study, presence of endosulfan, imidacloprid, carbendazim, in the soil /vegetables/cereals and water samples was observed in agriculture fields of Uttarakhand. In view of biodegradation of these pesticides, 9 bacterial isolates were recovered from the soil samples of the fields which tolerated endosulfan, imidacloprid, carbendazim from 100 to 200 μg/ml. Three bacterial co...
dry bubble disease is one of the most important serious diseases of the cultivated white button mushroom (agaricus bisporus (lange) imbach). it is a cosmopolitan disease having a worldwide distribution. ten isolates of lecanicillium fungicola var. fungicola (preuss) zare and gams were collected from mushroom farms. sensitivity of the isolates to benomyl, carbendazim, carbendazim+iprodione and p...
Field experiments were conducted for control of the southern root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) and cotton seedling disease fungi (primarily Thielaviopsis basicola) in one naturally infested field during 1999 and 2000 and in three additional fields in 2000. Treatments included: seed-applied fungicides (triadimenol + mefenoxam + thiram and carboxin + PCNB + mefenoxam), cultivars (Paymast...
To understand the phytotoxic effects that certain bezimidazole fungicides exert on plant growth, the aim of the present study was to determine the effect of the fungicide carbendazim, on foliar biomass, pigment content, and nutrient levels in tobacco plants (Nicotiana tabacum L. cv. Tennessee 86). The fungicide applied was carbendazim with a purity of 100%, at three different rates: 1.3 mM (car...
In view of the essential role of phenolic compounds in the development of pathogen resistance in plants, and given the influence that fungicides exert over phenolic metabolism, the aim of the present study was to determine the effect of the application of different rates of fungicide on the metabolism of phenolic compounds in tobacco plants (Nicotiana tabacum L. cv. Tennessee 86). The fungicide...
