Printed circuit board design complexity increases greatly as bus speeds exceed 100 MHz. This increased complexity is due more to the large number of simulations a designer must complete rather than simulation or modeling accuracy. This paper presents the case for these increased numbers of simulations, and presents techniques for managing this complexity.

A high-speed, master-oscillator power-amplifier burst-mode laser with ∼100  ps pulse duration is demonstrated with output energy up to 110 J per burst at 1064 nm and second-harmonic conversion efficiency up to 67% in a KD*P crystal. We report here our observations at 35 MHz and 327 MHz made in the direction of the γ–Ray pulsar Geminga. Based on the observed absence of any significant pulsed emission from this source above our detection thresholds at the two frequencies, we obtain useful upper-limits for the average flux to be 75–100 mJy at 35 MHz, and 0.2–0.3 mJy at 327 MHz.
