We perform a systematic analysis of the scalar glueball correlation functions in both the hard-wall and dilaton soft-wall approximations to the holographic QCD dual. The dynamical content of the holographic correlators is uncovered by examining their spectral density and by relating them to the operator product expansion, a dilatational low-energy theorem and a recently suggested two-dimensiona...
In the article the problems, bound with the law Habble are reviewed At first we shall consider two paradoxes, bound with the law Habble. 1. The Universe after Big Bang should be expand with negative acceleration because of a gravitational interaction all of its parts. But the observations demonstrate, that the further objects of the Universe are arranged from us, the the greater red displacemen...
We present the time integrated and time resolved spectral analysis of a sample of bright bursts selected from the BATSE archive. We fitted four different spectral models to the time integrated and time resolved spectra of the flux pulses. We point out that the found (marginal) differences in the parameter distributions can be ascribed to the different spectral shape of the employed models and t...
A technically convenient signature of localization, exhibited by discrete operators with random potentials, is exponential decay of the fractional moments of the Green function within the appropriate energy ranges. Known implications include: spectral localization, absence of level repulsion, strong form of dynamical localization, and a related condition which plays a significant role in the qu...
We propose a new phenomenological law for the shape of the spectral lines in the infrared, which accounts for the exponential decay of the extinction coefficient in the high-frequency region, observed in many spectra. We apply this law to the measured infrared spectra of LiF, NaCl, and MgF2, finding good agreement over a wide range of frequencies.
We consider, within the algebraic formalism, the time dependence of fidelity for qubits encoded into an open physical system. We relate the decay of fidelity to the evolution of correlation functions and, in the particular case of a Markovian dynamics, to the spectral gap of the generator of the semigroup. The results are applicable to the analysis of models of quantum memories.
We investigate the effects of several Abelian external fluxes φ, on the Euclidean Dirac spectrum of light quarks in QCD with two colors. Our results provide for a novel way of assessing the pion weak decay constant directly from spectral fluctuations, and discriminating a flux-rich from a flux-poor vacuum, using QCD lattice simulations. — We prove the equivalence between the smoothing effect for a Schrödinger operator and the decay of the associate spectral projectors. We give two applications to the Schrödinger operator in dimension one. Résumé. — On donne une caractérisation de l’effet régularisant pour un opérateur de Schrödinger par la décroissance de ses projecteurs spectraux. On en déduit deux applications à l’opérateur ...
The Landau Hamiltonian, describing the behavior of a quantum particle in dimension 2 in a constant magnetic field, is perturbed by a magnetic field with power-like decay at infinity and a similar electric potential. We describe how the spectral subspaces change and how the Landau levels split under this perturbation.
We present a new and simple bound for the exponential decay of second order systems using the spectral shift. This result is applied to finite matrices as well as to partial differential equations of Mathematical Physics. The type of the generated semigroup is shown to be bounded by the upper real part of the numerical range of the underlying quadratic operator pencil.
