several previous studies of adults have reported that the amplitudes of the sural and superficial radial nerve (sn and srn) action potentials are larger with antidromic than with orthodromic recordings. however, this difference has not been documented in children. this study evaluated the amplitudes of sn and srn sensory nerve action potentials (snaps), obtained with antidromic and orthodromic ...
electronic effects were investigated on the singlet–triplet energy gaps of divalent unsaturated seven- membered ring r2c6h6m (m=c, si, ge, sn, pb, r= –h, -ch3, i-pr , t-bu) at b3lyp/6-311++g** level. all the triplet states of r2c6h6c were more stable than the related the singlet states while all the singlet states of r2c6h6m (m= si, ge, sn, pb, r= –h, -ch3, i-pr , t-bu) were more stable than th...
In [1] we defined symmetry classes, commutation symmetries and symmetry operators in the Hilbert space H of the 1D spin-1/2 Heisenberg magnetic ring with N sites and investigated them by means of tools from the representation theory of symmetric groups SN such as decompositions of ideals of the group ring C[SN ], idempotents of C[SN ], discrete Fourier transforms of SN , Littlewood-Richardson p...
The centrosymmetric tetranuclear title molecule, [Sn4(C3H7O)4Cl4O2], contains two types of Sn atoms, Sn(II) and Sn(IV). The Sn(II) atom has a trigonal-pyramidal coordination environment and is bonded to two O atoms from two iso-propano-late groups and one μ3-oxide atom. The Sn(IV) atom has an octa-hedral coordination environment, formed by two chloride atoms, two μ3-oxide atoms and two O atoms ...
We study the Ramsey number R(Wm, Sn) for a star Sn on n vertices and a wheel Wm on m + 1 vertices. We show that the Ramsey number R(Wm, Sn)= 3n− 2 for n=m,m+ 1, and m+ 2, where m 7 and odd. In addition, we give the following lower bound for R(Wm, Sn) where m is even: R(Wm, Sn) 2n+ 1 for all n m 6. © 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
In the cyclo-hexa-meric centrosymmetric title compound, [Sn(6)(C(6)H(5))(6)(C(14)H(11)O(2))(6)O(6)], each bridging oxide O atom is connected to three Sn atoms and each carboxyl-ate group bridges a pair of Sn atoms so that the three independent Sn atoms all adopt SnCO(5) distorted octa-hedral geometries, resulting in a drum-shaped Sn(6)O(6) core.
The Sn(IV) atom in the title compound, [Sn(C(6)H(5))(3)Cl(C(13)H(12)OS)], is situated within a distorted C(3)ClO trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry with a mean Sn-C distance of 2.136 (6) Å and with an Sn-O distance of 2.393 (4) Å. The Sn(IV) atom lies 0.171 (3) Å out of the equatorial C(3) plane in the direction of the axially bound Cl atom.
European bat lyssaviruses type 1 (EBLV-1) and type 2 (EBLV-2) circulate within bat populations throughout Europe and are capable of causing disease indistinguishable from that caused by classical rabies virus (RABV). However, the determinants of viral fitness and pathogenicity are poorly understood. Full-length genome clones based on the highly attenuated, non-neuroinvasive, RABV vaccine strain...
There is mounting evidence that long duration gamma ray bursts (GRBs) and X-ray flashes (XRFs) are produced by highly relativistic and narrowly collimated jets ejected in core collapse supernova (SN) explosions akin to SN 1998bw. We review the history of the GRB-SN association idea and its observational verification. We summarize the present evidence for a GRB/XRF-SN association. We comment on ...
In this study, a comparative analysis of metal-related neuronal vulnerability was performed in two brainstem nuclei, the locus coeruleus (LC) and substantia nigra (SN), known targets of the etiological noxae in Parkinson's disease and related disorders. LC and SN pars compacta neurons both degenerate in Parkinson's disease and other Parkinsonisms; however, LC neurons are comparatively less affe...
