Abstract The Shanghai High Repetition Rate XFEL and Extreme Light Facility (SHINE) project will use 600 1.3 GHz fundamental power couplers, which are modified based on TTF-III for continuous-wave operation with input up to approximately 7 kW. first batch of 20 sets coupler prototypes was fabricated from three domestic manufacturers the SHINE project. To better characterize radio frequency condi...

Sixteen single point mutations near the beginning of the lacZ gene have been isolated and their effect on lacZ expression has been measured. Five mutations were obtained that alter a potential stem-and-loop structure in the messenger RNA that masks the initiation codons. Formation of this stem-and-loop is a result of transcription of DNA sequences introduced during the cloning of the lac regula...

Materials are the most noticeable components of every language-learning context. One of these materials is the specific textbooks being used by English language academies; they are crucial in directing EFL teachers and learners and guiding them through the route of language learning. The present study attempts to compare the cultural content of two course books being used currently in Iran call...

The yield of human alpha 2b interferon in Escherichia coli was optimized by replacement of low-usage arginine codons located in the mRNA 5' end. The differences observed among the various gene variants suggest that codon usage, Shine-Dalgarno-like sequences, and mRNA secondary structure contribute to the performance of E. coli translation machinery.

CsrA is a global regulator that binds to two sites in the glgCAP leader transcript, thereby blocking ribosome access to the glgC Shine-Dalgarno sequence. The upstream CsrA binding site (GCACACGGAU) was used to search the Escherichia coli genomic sequence for other genes that might be regulated by CsrA. cstA contained an exact match that overlapped its Shine-Dalgarno sequence. cstA was previousl...
