In this paper, by using C-sequentially sign property for bifunctions, we provide sufficient conditions that ensure the existence of solutions of some vector equilibrium problems in Hausdorff topological vector spaces which ordered by a cone. The conditions which we consider are not imposed on the whole domain of the operators involved, but just on a locally segment-dense subset of the domain.

In this issue of the Journal, Thall et al. present the results of a clinical trial that makes use of sequential randomization, a novel trial design that allows the investigator to study adaptive treatment strategies. Our aim is to complement this groundbreaking work by reviewing the current state of the art of statistical methods available for such analyses. Using the data collected by Thall et...

This paper presents a simple and widely applicable multiple test procedure of the sequentially rejective type, i.e. hypotheses are rejected one at a tine until no further rejections can be done. It is shown that the test has a prescribed level of significance protection against error of the first kind for any combination of true hypotheses. The power properties of the test and a number of possi...

This document contains a number of omitted proofs and a more "formal" proof of the main theorem of the paper "Sequentially Optimal Mechanisms." 1. Omitted and Detailed Proofs for the Case that T = 2 Proof of Proposition 2 Step 1 We start by proving existence of the solution of the seller’s problem when T = 1. The seller seeks to solve

Model selection by the predictive least squares (PLS) principle has been thoroughly studied in the context of regression model selection and autoregressive (AR) model order estimation. We introduce a new criterion based on sequentially minimized squared deviations, which are smaller than both the usual least squares and the squared prediction errors used in PLS. We also prove that our criterion...

A polyclonal anti-fluorescein antibody (AFA) which quenches fluorescein fluorescence has been used to distinguish between two models of intracellular vesicle traffic. These models address the question of whether sequentially endocytosed probes will mix intracellularly or whether they are carried through the cell in a sequential, isolated manner. Using transferrin (Tf) as a recycling receptor ma...

This paper shows that it is possible to build a maximal and sound causal model for concurrent computations from a given execution trace. It is sound, in the sense that any program which can generate a trace can also generate all traces in its causal model. It is maximal (among sound models), in the sense that by extending the causal model of an observed trace with a new trace, the model becomes...
