We give a sufficient condition for a univalently induced composition operator on the Hardy space H2 to be a Riesz operator. We then establish that every Riesz composition operator has a Koenigs model and explore connections our work has with the model theory and spectral theory of composition operators.

We shall show that the oscillations observed by Strichartz JRS92, Str90] in the Fourier transforms of self-similar measures have a large-scale renormali-sation given by a Riesz-measure. Vice versa the Riesz measure itself will be shown to be self-similar around every triadic point.

Let G be a countable group of unitary operators on a complex separable Hilbert space H. We give a characterization of biorthogonality among Riesz multiwavelets in terms of certain invariant properties of their associated core spaces. A large family of non-biorthogonal Riesz multiwavelets is exhibited. We also discuss some results on linear perturbation of orthonormal multiwavelets.

The Fejér-Riesz theorem has inspired numerous generalizations in one and several variables, and for matrixand operator-valued functions. This paper is a survey of some old and recent topics that center around Rosenblum’s operator generalization of the classical Fejér-Riesz theorem. Mathematics Subject Classification (2000). The compact operators on the Riesz sequence space 1 ∞ have been studied by Başarır and Kara, “IJST (2011) A4, 279-285”. In the present paper, we will characterize some classes of compact operators on the normed Riesz sequence spaces and by using the Hausdorff measure of noncompactness.

The concept of an MV-algebra was introduced by Chang [4] as an algebraic basis for many-valued logic. It turned out that MV-algebras are a subclass of a more general class of effect algebras [7, 6]. Namely, MV-algebras are in one-to-one correspondence with lattice ordered effect algebras satisfying the Riesz decomposition property [2], the latter are called MV-effect algebras. In the study of c...
