By incentive reversal we refer to situations in which an increase of rewards for all agents results in fewer agents exerting effort. We show that externalities among peers may give rise to such intriguing situations even when all agents are fully rational. We provide a necessary and sufficient condition on the organizational technology in order for it to be susceptible to incentive reversal. Th...

This study aimed to explore and validate a new juvenile osteopenic (JO) rat model then examine the efficacy of moghat (Glossostemon bruguieri) as an alternative reversal therapy for JO. Phytochemical screening analysis showed that moghat contains 5.8% alkaloids, 1.5% flavonoids and 13.2% total phenols. Juvenile osteopenia was induced in 15 days old Sprague- Dawley female rats by feeding them fr...

In the present study 252 fertile eggs from Ross 308 strin broiler breeders flock were divided into three experimental group and at 5th day of incubation period were in ovo injected into the air cell by 0.1 ml of green tea extract, fadrozole hydrochloride or distilled water. The hatched chickens then were arranged based on the experimental groups of incubation period in a completely randomized d...

BACKGROUND Opioid-induced respiratory depression is antagonized effectively by the competitive opioid receptor antagonist naloxone. However, to fully understand the complex opioid agonist-antagonist interaction, the effects of various naloxone doses on morphine and morphine-6-glucuronide (M6G)-induced respiratory depression were studied in healthy volunteers. METHODS Twenty-four subjects rece...

The hippocampus and the basal ganglia are thought to play fundamental and distinct roles in learning and memory, supporting two dissociable memory systems. Interestingly, however, the hippocampus and the basal ganglia have each, separately, been implicated as necessary for reversal learning-the ability to adaptively change a response when previously learned stimulus-outcome contingencies are re...

Time Reversal can be used to time reverse and propagate the measured scattered waveforms to a point in both time and space, ideally to a delta function δ(~r)δ(t). This is commonly referred to as time reversal focusing and has led to time reversal being applied in a wide variety of fields such as medicine, communications, nondestructive evaluation (NDE), and seismology. In practice, time reversa...

PURPOSE Strategies for the management of bleeding complications and facilitation of an invasive procedure in patients receiving direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) are reviewed. SUMMARY The DOACs provide clinical advantages versus vitamin K antagonists, including fixed dosing with no routine coagulation monitoring and evidence of a lower risk of bleeding. However, as with all anticoagulants, t...

Latency times of visually evoked cortical potentials stimulated by reversal of a slow checkerboard pattern are highly dependent on the time needed to accomplish the reversal movement. If, owing to the method, the pattern reversal time is not kept stable, variability of the latency times is unnecessarily high for clinical purposes. This may be the case when television equipment is used.
