In this paper, we present the notions of proximal contractions of Perov first and second kind and proximal cyclic contractions of Perov type and prove the existence and uniqueness of coincidence best proximity point under these contractive conditions in the frame work of regular cone metric space. Our results extend and generalized many existing results in literature.
BACKGROUND Classifying the location of an occlusion in the culprit artery during ST-elevation myocardial infarction is important for risk stratification to optimize treatment. OBJECTIVES To compare the validity of echocardiographic parameters assessing right ventricular (RV) function for the prediction of proximal right coronary artery (RCA) lesion in patients with inferior wall myocardial in...
Excitation-contraction coupling (ECC) relies on temporally synchronized sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) Ca2+ release via ryanodine receptors (RyRs) at dyadic membrane compartments. Neurohormones, such as endothelin-1 (ET-1), that act G?q-coupled G protein-coupled (GPCRs) modulate dynamics during ECC and induce SR events involving inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (InsP3) (InsP3Rs). How the relatively mo...
OBJECTIVES/HYPOTHESIS A major concern in thyroid surgery is possible changes in the patient's voice due to dysfunction of the laryngeal muscles. The classical understanding of the anatomy is that the cricothyroid muscle (CTM) is innervated solely by the external branch of the superior laryngeal nerve (EBSLN), and the endolaryngeal muscles are covered only by the recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN)....
Using motion analysis, the ontogeny of the nitrergic control system in the gut was studied in vivo in zebrafish Danio rerio embryos and larvae. For the first time we show the presence of a nitrergic tonus, modulating both anterograde and retrograde contraction waves in the intestine of developing zebrafish. At 4 d.p.f. (days post fertilisation), the nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor L-NAME ...
metabolic alkalosis is characterized by high hco3- as it is seen in chronic respiratory acidosis, but ph differentiates the two disorders. there is no characteristic symptom or sign. orthostatic hypotension may be encountered. weakness and hyporeflexia occur if serum k+ is markerdly low. tetany and neuromuscular irritability occur rarely. we report the results of retrospective data analysis of ...
The contraction/relaxation responses of thoracic aortal rings clamped with two clamping pressures to potassium chloride (KC1), noradrenaline and carbachol were studied using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) to ascertain endothelial lacerations. Clamp A had the tip pressure PA = 0.60 N/mm2 and clamp B PB = 5.16 N/mm2. In 15 Wistar albino rats, weighing 328 +/- 19 g (mean +/- SD), the thoraci...
Studying the perception of spatiotemporal stimulus patterns in various modalities may yield important information on the way in which humans process sensory information. The perception of tactile and nociceptive cutaneous stimulus patterns have been studied by Stolle et al. [1] and Trojan et al. [2][4] respectively. Among other things, both authors studied subjective localization of single stim...
Superior mesenteric artery syndrome is a rare condition that causes a proximal small intestinal obstruction due to contraction of the angle between the superior mesenteric artery and the aorta. Scoliosis surgery is one of the 15 reasons for superior mesenteric artery syndrome, which can present with acute or chronic manifestations. Although conservative treatment is usually possible, surgical t...
