A graphene-modified glassy carbon electrode was fabricated via a drop-casting method, and applied to the electrochemical detection of epinephrine. The capacity of the graphene-modified glassy carbon electrode for the selective detection of epinephrine was confirmed in a sufficient amount of ascorbic acid (2 mmol L(-1)) by cyclic voltammetry. The modified electrode showed an excellent electrocat...

In this paper a novel elctrochemical HbA1c biosensor based on flow injection and screen-printed electrode was developed. The reticulated vitreous carbon (RVC) electrode was modified with 3aminophenylboronic acid, chitosan (CS), and tetraenthoxyl silica (TEOS), which entrapped carbon nanotubes to form a sol-gel film at the surface of the screen-printed electrode. The electrochemical behavior of ...

A multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)-cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surfactant composite modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was developed as a novel system for the determination of 4-aminoantipyrine(AAP). The oxidation process was irreversible over the pH range studied and exhibited a diffusion controlled behavior. All experimental parameters were optimized. The combination of MWCN...

A disposable copper (II) ion biosensor based on self-assembly of L-cysteine on gold nanoparticle-modified screen-printed carbon electrode was fabricated. The electrode was modified by attaching gold nanoparticles onto the surface of screen-printed carbon electrode through seed mediated growth method followed by self-assembly of L-cysteine. As demonstrated by differential pulse voltammetry, the ...

Green-chemistry type procedures were used to synthesize Pd nanostructures encapsulated by a vanadium-substituted Wells-Dawson-type polyoxometalate (Pd@POM). The cyclic voltammogram run with the Pd@POM-modified glassy carbon electrode shows well-defined waves, associated with Pd nanostructures and the V/V redox couple. The Pd@POM-modified electrode displayed remarkably reproducible cyclic voltam...

A novel voltammetric sensor based on gold nanoparticles (GNPs) and single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) composite was developed. The nanocomposite modified electrode was characterized using atoms force microscope (AFM). The electrochemical behavior of meclofenoxate hydrochloride (MFX) was investigated on this sensor. The results indicated that the GNPs/SWNTs modified electrode exhibited effic...

A strategy is proposed for immobilization of homogeneous catalysts whereby a glassy carbon electrode is functionalized by electro-grafting of a ligand, terpyridine. The modified electrode can easily be metallated with cobalt and shows activity towards catalytic proton and CO2 reduction. The metal can be removed and the electrode re-metallated at will.

Carbon nanotubes are regarded as promising building blocks for the construction of novel biosensors due to their unique properties like fast electron transfer, high electrocatalytic effect and good biocompatibility. In the present study, the effect of different chemical oxidation’s methods of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) on the electrochemical behavior of modified graphite electrodes ...

We investigated the electrochemical behavior of hemoglobin by glassy carbon electrode modified with Mn(2)O(3)-Ag nanofibers. The Mn(2)O(3)-Ag nanofibers were used as facilitator electron transfer between Hb and glassy-carbon-modified electrode. The Mn(2)O(3)-Ag nanofibers are studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The hemoglobin showed a quasir...

In this work, modification of carbon paste electrode surface with poly (2, 5-Dimethyl aniline) (P-2,5-DMA) by using electrochemical polymerization was described. Then, transition metal ions of Ni(II) were incorporated into the polymer film by two ways. At first way, the polymeric modified electrode was immersed in 0.2 M NiSO4 solutions and the second way was carried out by electrodeposition of ...
