A simple synthesis of cyclic guanidine derivatives is presented in this study. The construction of the central basic scaffolds is achieved by the application of microwave-assisted chemistry. This process completed without use of any extra reagent or protecting group manipulations. The formation of products of substituted guanidine was controlled by the temperature.

An efficient synthesis of highly crystalline SnO(2) QDs with a narrow size distribution (4.27 +/- 0.67 nm) was achieved by microwave-assisted decomposition of Sn(OtBu)(4) in ionic liquid. Printed structures fabricated from SnO(2) QDs showed typical semiconducting I-V behaviors, and gas sensing properties.

The implementation of thirty-two pentafluorophenyl groups in the periphery of a phthalocyanine analogue results in a photosensitizer with a pronounced resistance towards autophotooxidation. A short and practical synthesis of 2,3-substituted imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidines, based on microwave-assisted Heck-type arylation of 2-substituted imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidines, was developed. A 45-membered library of 2,3-substituted imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidines was obtained with good yields and purities using this optimized protocol.
