the methods which are used to analyze microstrip antennas, are divited into three categories: empirical methods, semi-empirical methods and full-wave analysis. empirical and semi-empirical methods are generally based on some fundamental simplifying assumptions about quality of surface current distribution and substrate thickness. thses simplificatioms cause low accuracy in field evaluation. ful...
A simple impedance matching technique for inset feed grooved microstrip patch antenna based on the concept of coplanar waveguide feed line has been developed and investigated for a printed antenna at X-Band frequency of 10GHz. The proposed technique has been used in the design of Linear Grooved Microstrip patch antenna array. The characteristics of the antenna are determined in terms of Return ...
Introduction: Ultra-high field transceiver coil array holds many advantages and unique capabilities over the conventional non-array volume transceiver coils such as B1 shimming/manipulating and parallel excitation for human studies. The transceiver array can be either an array of loops or an array of straight microstrip elements [1-3]. Usually the mutual coupling in such arrays is minimized by ...
In this paper, we propose a novel microstrip antenna for operating over a three frequency bands, covering the 2.4/5.2/5.8 GHz WLAN and 2.5/3.5/5.5GHz WiMAX bands. The proposed antenna occupies an area of 30 mm 40mm, when printed on FR4 substrate (εr=4.4, h=0.8mm). The antenna comprises of a triangular patch section, L-shaped parasitic elements on the edges of triangular patch and a 50Ω micros...

Abstract:In telecommunications, there are several types of microstrip antennas, the most common of which is microstrip patch antenna. Patch antennas are also relatively inexpensive to manufacture and design because of simple 2D physical geometry. In this paper Two L slits are introduced at the both edge of the patch to reduce the resonant frequency. The proposed antenna is developed to operate ...
In this paper, design of an aperture-coupled microstrip antenna (ACMSA) using differential evolution algorithm (DE) is described. The classical transmission line model for microstrip antenna is used to determine fitness function for DE and computed results are compared with the results obtained using particle swarm optimization (PSO) and binary coded genetic
In this paper, a radial line microstrip antenna array (RL-MSAA) for linear polarization is designed. Stacked microstrip antennas (MSAs) with a stub element in the upper parasitic element are arrayed on a radial waveguide as a phase-controllable radiation element. A prototype array with three concentric rows of the stacked MSAs is tested in 12 GHz.
(1.5 cm higher than coil planes). The combination sensitivity is homogeneous along strip direction. Fig 4. In the 16-ch microstrip array, adjacent elements with 1 and 2 harmonic resonance are intrinsically decoupled with more than 22dB. Fig 1. Circuits of microstrip coils with 1 ,2 and 4 harmonic resonance (left), equivalent circuits based on mirror theory (middle), and current distribution alo...
The low pass filter is used in many application of microwave communication. Therefore it is necessary to design a good low pass filter for the faithful reproduction of wanted signals. Previously used methods to design the low pass filter using insertion loss method don’t give a very good flat response. So, a new method has been proposed for the filter design which gives a good response as compa...
