The utility of 2-(N-isopropyl-N-anisoylamino)ethyl group for protection of internucleosidic phosphate linkages in oligonucleotide synthesis was studied. The group demonstrated high coupling yields, favorable deprotection kinetics and a high hydrolytic stability of phosphoramidite building blocks.
