Basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) are the most common cancers in the United States. The histologic appearance distinguishes several subtypes, each of which can have a different biologic behavior. In this study, global miRNA expression was quantified by high-throughput sequencing in nodular BCCs, a subtype that is slow growing, and infiltrative BCCs, aggressive tumors that extend through the dermis a...

There is a need to familiarize these physicians with the radiographic and pathologic features of this lesion for the correct diagnosis. We described the radiologic and pathologic features of intraosseous lipoma in 5 women. In 4 patients,...

INTRODUCTION The intraosseous lipoma is the most common lipogenous lesion of bone. Intraosseous lipoma is found most frequently in the calcaneus and intertrochanteric region of the proximal femur. The symptoms may result from remodeling of bone due to expansion, or due to intralesional ischemia, noted to be a common consequence of a longstanding calcaneal intraosseous lipoma [1-4]. Intraosseous...

Although lipomas can occur in any part of the body, they are found infrequently in the oral cavity. Variants of lipoma have been described according to the type of tissue present; a lipoma with cartilaginous metaplasia is a chondrolipoma which is a rare variant. We describe a chondrolipoma of tongue in a 36 year old lady.

This report describes a giant pleural lipoma that arose from the pleura of the 7th anterior intercostal space and occupied approximately 75% of the right pleural cavity in a 49-year-old woman. The tumor was completely excised by right thoracotomy. The complete histopathological investigation showed pleural lipoma, and we made a review of literature.
