India has among the highest rates of malaria mortality, inoculation and infection, human and socio-economicadministrative costs. India is a subcontinent having monsoon climate (most variable). Meteorology being all about atmospheric processes and dynamics envelopes much of the ecology and environment. This communication presents Indian sub-continental atypical monsoon meteorology, east coast’s ...
The spectral Direct Normal Irradiance (SDNI) is a basic radiometric quantity from which many other quantities can be derived. It provides not only information about the spectral and distribution of the direct solar radiation reaching a particular location. Accurate knowledge about the spectral direct irradiance shall enable us to gain new scientific results in the: determination of cloud effect...

This research progress of the clustering algorithms in meteorology in recent years is summarized in this paper. First, we give a brief introduction of the principles and characteristics of the clustering algorithms that are commonly used in meteorology. On the other hand, the applications of clustering algorithms in meteorology are analyzed, and the relationship between the various clustering a...
Soil temperature is one of the important variables in hydrology, agriculture, meteorology and climatology studies. Owing to the fact that soil temperature is only measured at synoptic stations, reconstruction of this variable in other places is of great importance for many relevant agricultural surveys. Using 10-year (1996-2005) daily meteorological observations, including: air temperature, glo...
Mangabey monkeys have been shown to rely on memory of recent trends in temperature and solar radiation to decide whether to feed on a particular patch of fruit. These observations reveal a rich mental representation of the physical environment in monkeys and suggest foraging may have been an important selective pressure in primate cognitive evolution.
