Crohn's disease is extremely rare among Asians. Resection of strictures causing obstruction has traditionally been the accepted choice in surgical therapy. This may lead to problems such as iatrogenic short bowel syndrome and its sequelae. Stricturoplasty is an acceptable and safe alternative. We report a case where combined stricturoplasty and resection was performed safely and advocate its use.

False Aneurysms are uncommon in the pediatric population. We report a case of false aneurysm of the common femoral artery (CFA) after accidental arterial puncture, during a phlebotomy for blood sample. The lesion was surgically resected and arterial continuity restored by end to end anastomosis. The postoperative course was uneventful.

It is suggested that the immunosuppressive therapy which the patient received may have enhanced the growth of a pre-existing malignancy.

Other internal diseases can alter the structure and color of the hair and nails. These alterations in the hair and nails supply important information to the physician regarding the underlying diagnosis.
