Symmetries of trigonometric integrable two dimensional statistical face models are considered. The corresponding symmetry operators on the Hilbert space of states of the quantum version of these models define a weak *-Hopf algebra isomorphic to the Ocneanu double triangle algebra(DTA). R. An innovative space-time adaptive preprocessing algorithm based on a low complexity multistage nested Wiener filter is introduced. A closed form expression for the Wiener-Hopf filter weights is developed using the multistage nested Wiener falter parameters. It is demonstrated that this algorithm is capable of suppressing both wideband and narrowband jammers while maintaining low complexity.

We give a short, simple and conceptual proof, based on spin structures, of sphere eversion: an embedded 2-sphere in R can be turned inside out by regular homotopy. Ingredients of this eversion are seamlessly connected. We also give the mathematical origins of the proof: the Hopf fibration, and the topological structure of real-projective 3-space.

It is well known in the literature that momentum space associated to ?-Poincaré algebra described by Lie group AN(3). In this letter we show full Hopf structure can be obtained from rather straightforward group-theoretic manipulations starting Iwasawa decomposition of SO(1,4) group.

We consider the problem of semi-cardinal interpolation for polyharmonic splines. For absolutely summable data sequences, we construct a solution to this problem using a Lagrange series representation. The corresponding Lagrange functions are deened using Fourier transforms and the technique of Wiener-Hopf factorizations for semi-space lattices.

This talk concerns numerical approximations of oscillating patterns in reaction-diffusion systems. Stability analysis on a test reactiondiffusion system with oscillating solution allows comparisons in terms of stability regions and stepsize restrictions of some time integrators. Moreover, a dissipation and dispersion analysis are also carried out, see [1]. We consider the well known and commonl...

Given a measurable transformation on a measure space one can ask whether or not there is an equivalent measure that is invariant under the transformation. This problem is discussed very thoroughly in Halmos' Lectures on ergodic theory, pp. 81-90, 97. The first result along these lines is due to E. Hopf who obtained necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a finite invariant meas...

Following the construction of the κ-Minkowski space from the bicrossproduct structure of the κ-Poincare group, we investigate possible differential calculi on this noncommutative space. We discuss then the action of the Lorentz quantum algebra and prove that there are no 4D bicovariant differential calculi, which are Lorentz covariant. We show, however, that there exist a fivedimensional differ...
