Maize is one of the major crops in China and its yield potential has been changedsignificantly by climate change induction during last five decades. The national policy of maizeproduction sufficiency emphasizes the necessity for a more accurate estimation of yieldpotential of maize at a national level. In this paper yield potential of maize was calculated usingthe Global Agro-Ecological Zones (...

Solar energy is the most unique renewable energy source in the world and is the main source of all energy on Earth. Solar energy can be converted into other forms of energy directly and indirectly. In general, the energy given off by the sun about 3. 8 two 1023 kW per second. In the present study, the potential of solar energy in the province of surveillance data 9 synoptic stations located in ...

Daily solar radiation forecasting has recently become critical in developing energy and its integration into grid systems. Despite the huge number of proposed techniques, an accurate estimation remains a significant challenge because non-stationary variation components due to continuously changing climatic conditions. Usually, several input data predictors are used for process, which can cause ...

Amazonia is the world largest tropical forest, playing a key role in the global carbon cycle. Thus, understanding climate controls of photosynthetic activity in this region is critical. The establishment of the relationship between photosynthetic activity and climate has been controversial when based on conventional remote sensing-derived indices. Here, we use nine years of solar-induced chloro...

[1] The amount of solar irradiance reaching the surface is a key parameter in the hydrological and energy cycles of the Earth’s climate. We analyze 20th Century simulations using nine state-of-the-art climate models and show that all models estimate a global annual mean reduction in downward surface solar radiation of 1–4 W/m at the same time that the globe warms by 0.4–0.7 C. In single forcing...

Solar radiation is a key factor in the Earth’s energy balance and it is used as a crucial input parameter in many disciplines such as ecology, agriculture, solar energy and hydrology. Thus, accurate information of the global downward surface shortwave flux integration into the grid is of significant importance. From the different strategies used for grid integration of the surface solar radiati...

Analysis of the long-term Global Aerosol Climatology Project data set reveals a likely decrease of the global optical thickness of tropospheric aerosols by as much as 0.03 during the period from 1991 to 2005. This recent trend mirrors the concurrent global increase in solar radiation fluxes at Earth's surface and may have contributed to recent changes in surface climate.

one of the effective methods to improve the thermal efficiency of solar collectors is using nanofluids as the coolant. the present study experimentally investigated the effect of sio2/water nanofluid with 1% mass fraction on the performance of a symmetric collector, i.e. conical solar collector. the conical solar collector with 1 m2 area and normal to the earth was tested in ahvaz, a city in th...
