We consider a model of the state evolution of relativistic vector bosons, which includes both the dynamical equations for the particle four-velocity and the equations for the polarization four-vector evolution in the field of a nonlinear plane gravitational wave. In addition to the gravitational minimal coupling, tidal forces linear in curvature tensor are suggested to drive the particle state ...
In this paper we present an existence result for causal functional evolution equations. The result is obtained under a condition with respect to the Hausdorff measure of noncompactness. An application with partial differential equations is given to illustrate our main result. Mathematics subject classification (2010): 34A07, 34A08.
In this paper, by including Raman scattering in the coupled-mode equations, the scalar modulation instability in photonic crystal fibers is investigated. The evolution of the pump, Stokes and anti-Stokes waves along the fiber as well as the conversion efficiency for two cases, with and without Raman effect, are studied. The effect of anti-Stokes seed and the pump depletion on the evolution of S...
Recently Kovner and Lublinsky proposed a set of equations which can be viewed as dual to JIMWLK evolution. We show that these dual equations have a natural dipole-like structure, as conjectured by Kovner and Lublin-sky. In the high energy large N c limit these evolution equations reduce to equations previously derived in the dipole model. We also show that the dual evolution kernel is scheme de...
The following lectures are an introduction to the phenomena of partonic saturation and nonlinear evolution equations in Quantum Chromodynamics. After a short introduction to the linear evolution, the problems of unitarity bound and parton saturation are discussed. The nonlinear Balitsky-Kovchegov evolution equation in the high energy limit is introduced, and the progress towards the understandi...
In this paper we study the asymptotic behavior of solutions to the nonlocal operator ut(x, t) = (−1) n−1 (J ∗ Id − 1)n (u(x, t)), x ∈ R which is the nonlocal analogous to the higher order local evolution equation vt = (−1)(∆)v. We prove that solutions to both equations have the same asymptotic decay rate as t goes to infinity. Moreover, we prove that the solutions of the nonlocal problem conver...
In recent years increasing interests and considerable researches have been given to the fractional differential equations both in time and space variables. These are due to the applications of the fractional differential operators to problems in a wide areas of physics and engineering science and a rapid development of the corresponding theory. Motivating examples include the so-called continuo...
Applications of perturbative QCD to deeply virtual Compton scattering and hard exclusive meson electroproduction processes require a generalization of usual parton distributions for the case when long-distance information is accumulated in nonforward matrix elements 〈p | O(0, z) | p〉 of quark and gluon light-cone operators. In our previous papers we used two types of nonperturbative functions p...
be linear and quasilinear evolution equations of parabolic type in a Banach space X respectively. By "parabolic type" we mean that A(t) and A(t,u) are all the infinitesimal generators of analytic linear semigroups on X we do not necessarily assume that the domains of the operators A(t) and A("t,u) are dense subspaces of X, so the semigroups generated by them may not be of class c0 J. The domain...
We study the existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions for evolution equations. First we analyze the one-dimensional case. Then for arbitrary dimensions (finite or not), we consider linear symmetric operators. We also prove the same results for non-linear sub-differential operators A = ∂φ where φ is convex.
