Sarcophaga (Sarcorohdendorfia) gracilior (Chen, 1975) is documented from specimens collected in Hubei Province, China, using morphological characters and wing interference patterns (WIPs). The female of S. (S.) gracilior is described for the first time, the male is redescribed, and both sexes are photographed. The distribution of the species is updated.

This paper reviews the cumulative effect of land-cover change on local, regional, and global weather and climate. Documented land-cover changes from 1700 to the present are shown to be particularly significant in the tropics. Model results are presented which show the teleconnection of weather patterns worldwide result from these landscape changes.

In a service-oriented architecture, software services interact by means of message exchanges that follow certain patterns documented in the form of behavioural interfaces. As any software artifact, a service interface evolves over time. When this happens, incompatibility problems may arise. We demonstrate a tool, namely BESERIAL, that can pinpoint incompatibilities between behavioural interfaces.
