A perturbed multi-agent system is a scheme self-possessed of multiple networking agents within a location. This scheme can be used to discuss problems that are impossible or difficult for a specific agent to solve. Intelligence cloud entropy management systems involve functions, methods, procedural approaches, and algorithms. In this study, we introduce a new perturbed algorithm based on the fr...

The present paper studies continuity of generalized entropy functions and relative entropies defined using the notion of a deformed logarithmic function. In particular, two distinct definitions of relative entropy are discussed. As an application, all considered entropies are shown to satisfy Lesche’s stability condition. The entropies of Tsallis’ nonextensive thermostatistics are taken as exam...

Information entropy is applied to the analysis of time series generated by dynamical systems. Complexity of a temporal or spatio-temporal signal is defined as the difference between the sum of entropies of the local linear regions of the trajectory manifold, and the entropy of the globally linearized manifold. When the entropies are Tsallis entropies the complexity is characterized by the value...

HIGHLIGHTS ► Twelve entropy indices were systematically compared in monitoring depth of anesthesia and detecting burst suppression.► Renyi permutation entropy performed best in tracking EEG changes associated with different anesthesia states.► Approximate Entropy and Sample Entropy performed best in detecting burst suppression. OBJECTIVE Entropy algorithms have been widely used in analyzing E...

The notion of entropy is widely used in modern statistical physics, thermodynamics, information theory, engineering etc. In 1948, Claude Shannon introduced his information entropy for an absolutely continuous random variable x having probability density function (pdf) p. In 1988, Constantino Tsallis introduced a generalized Shannon entropy. Tsallis entropy have found applications in various sci...

Using Rényi entropy, an alternative statistics to Tsallis one for nonextensive systems at equilibrium is discussed. We show that it is possible to have the q-exponential distribution function for equilibrium nonextensive systems having nonadditive energy but additive entropy. PACS : 02.50.-r, 05.20.-y, 05.70.-a

Tsallis entropy and a maximum entropy principle allows to reproduce experimental data of DNA double strand breaking by electron and neutron radiation. Analytic results for the probability of finding a DNA segment of length l are obtained reproducing quite well the fragment distribution function experimentally obtained.

We explore a possible application of the additive generalization of the BoltzmannGibbs-Shannon entropy proposed in [A. N. Gorban, I. V. Karlin, Phys. Rev. E, 67:016104 (2003)] to fully developed turbulence. The predicted probability distribution functions are compared with those obtained from Tsallis’ entropy and with experimental data. Consequences of the existence of hidden subsystems are ill...

As the use of registration packages spreads, the number of the aligned image pairs in image databases (either by manual or automatic methods) increases dramatically. These image pairs can serve as a set of training data. Correspondingly, the images that are to be registered serve as testing data. In this paper, a novel medical image registration method is proposed which is based on the a priori...
