Deviations from Hawking’s thermal black hole spectrum, observable for macroscopic black holes, are derived from a model of a quantum horizon in loop quantum gravity. These arise from additional area eigenstates present in quantum surfaces excluded by the classical isolated horizon boundary conditions. The complete spectrum of area unexpectedly exhibits evenly spaced symmetry. This leads to an e...

In this work we study the Dirac quasinormal modes of higher dimensional charged black holes. Higher dimensional Reissner-Nördstrom type black holes as well as charged black holes in Einstein GaussBonnet theories are studied for Fermionic perturbations using WKB methods. A comparative study of the quasinormal modes in the two different theories of gravity has been performed. The beahviour of the...

The Brill-Lindquist time-symmetric initial-value solution for two uncharged black holes is rederived using the Hamiltonian constraint equation with Dirac delta distributions as a source for the binary black-hole field. The bare masses of the Brill-Lindquist black holes are introduced in a way which is applied, after straightforward modification, to the Misner-Linquist binary black-hole solution.

In this paper a lower bound for the ADM mass is given in terms of the angular momenta and charges of black holes present in axisymmetric initial data sets for the Einstein-Maxwell equations. This generalizes the mass-angular momentum-charge inequality obtained by Chrusciel and Costa to the case of multiple black holes. We also weaken the hypotheses used in the proof of this result for single bl...

A very brief review is given of some of the developments leading to our current understanding of black holes in string theory. This is followed by a discussion of two possible misconceptions in this subject – one involving the stability of small black holes and the other involving scale radius duality. Finally, I describe some recent results concerning quasinormal modes of black holes in anti d...

We study aspects of d-dimensional black holes with two electric charges, corresponding to fundamental strings with generic momentum and winding on an internal circle. The perturbative α corrections to such black holes and their gravitational thermodynamics are obtained. The latter are derived using the Euclidean approach and the Wald formula for the entropy. We find that the entropy and the cha...

We construct multi-center solutions for charged, dilatonic, non-extremal black holes in D = 4. When an infinite array of such non-extremal black holes are aligned periodically along an axis, the configuration becomes independent of this coordinate, which can therefore be used for Kaluza-Klein compactification. This generalises the vertical dimensional reduction procedure to include non-extremal...

We consider statistical ensembles of Schwarzschild black holes and prove that these ensembles describe black holes of non vanishing temperatures. The mean space-times associated to these ensembles are explored through exact computations of their energy distributions, total masses and calorific capacities. We discuss our results, with special emphasis on their connections with current and near f...

In this paper we improved efficiency of black holes algorithm with using of fuzzy Hawking radiation. A black hole is a region of space-time whose gravitational field is so strong that nothing which enters it, not even light, can escape. In the black holes algorithm there is a phase with name Hawking radiation. In this phase the position of the some black hole changes a little. This phase as equ...
