In the field of reconnaissance and in many other real world applications, information from different possibly heterogenous information sources has to be fused for obtaining adequate results. We present a local Bayesian approach which is realized via an agent based architecture. In analogy to criminalistic investigators, fusion agents elaborate the posterior Degree of Belief of initial hypothese...

We study full Bayesian procedures for high-dimensional linear regression. adopt data-dependent empirical priors introduced in Martin et al. (Bernoulli 23(3):1822–1847, 2017). In their paper, these have nice posterior contraction properties and are easy to compute. Our paper extend theoretical results the case of unknown error variance . Under proper sparsity assumption, we achieve model selecti...

In this paper, we first establish a new fixed point theorem for a Meir-Keeler type condition. As an application, we derive a simultaneous generalization of Banach contraction principle, Kannan's fixed point theorem, Chatterjea's fixed point theorem and other fixed point theorems. Some new fixed point theorems are also obtained.

We present an elementary proof of the quantum de Finetti representation theorem, a quantum analogue of de Finetti’s classical theorem on exchangeable probability assignments. This contrasts with the original proof of Hudson and Moody [Z. Wahrschein. verw. Geb. 33, 343 (1976)], which relies on advanced mathematics and does not share the same potential for generalization. The classical de Finetti...

One hundred fifty-four patients referred for coronary arteriography were prospectively studied with stress electrocardiography, stress thallium scintigraphy, cine fluoroscopy (for coronary calcifications), and coronary angiography. Pretest probabilities of coronary disease were determined based on age, sex, and type of chest pain. These and pooled literature values for the conditional probabili...

In this paper, a vector version of the intermediate value theorem is established. The main theorem of this article can be considered as an improvement of the main results have been appeared in [textit{On fixed point theorems for monotone increasing vector valued mappings via scalarizing}, Positivity, 19 (2) (2015) 333-340] with containing the uniqueness, convergent of each iteration to the fixe...

In this paper, we study fuzzy calculus in two main branches differential and integral.  Some rules for finding limit and $gH$-derivative of $gH$-difference, constant multiple of two fuzzy-valued functions are obtained and we also present fuzzy chain rule for calculating  $gH$-derivative of a composite function.  Two techniques namely,  Leibniz's rule and integration by parts are introduced for ...

recently, zhang and song [q. zhang, y. song, fixed point theory forgeneralized $varphi$-weak contractions, appl. math. lett. 22(2009) 75-78] proved a common fixed point theorem for two mapssatisfying generalized $varphi$-weak contractions. in this paper, we prove a common fixed point theorem fora family of compatible maps. in fact, a new generalization of zhangand song's theorem is given.

Motivated by the problem of designing inference-friendly Bayesian nonparametric models in probabilistic programming languages, we introduce a general class partially exchangeable random arrays which generalizes notion hierarchical exchangeability introduced Austin and Panchenko (2014). We say that our are DAG-exchangeable since their structure is governed collection Directed Acyclic Graphs. Mor...

Abstract Geodetic measurements rely on high-resolution sensors, but produce data sets with many observations which may contain outliers and correlated deviations. This paper proposes a powerful solution using Bayesian inference. The observed is modeled as multivariate time series stationary autoregressive (VAR) process t-distribution for white noise. Bayes’ theorem integrates prior knowledge. P...
