In the crystal, weak C-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions lead to the formation of chains along [011].

The whole mol-ecule of the title coumarin derivative, C(11)H(10)O(3), is approximately planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.116 (3) Å from the least-squares plane defined by all non-H atoms.
