We present photometric and spectroscopic results for the low mass pre-main sequence (PMS) stars with spectral types K – M in the cometary globule (CG) 30/31/38 complex. We obtained multi-object high resolution spectra for the targets selected as possible PMS stars from multi-wavelength photometry. We identified 11 PMS stars brighter than V = 16.5 with ages . 5 Myr at a distance of approximately...

High drug resistance, poor water solubility, short half-life, and low local drug concentration are obstacles for successful delivery of chemotherapeutic drugs for lung cancer. A new method involving the use of nanoparticles (NPs) for pulmonary delivery is proposed. However, use of NPs is limited by the particle size range for pulmonary drug delivery considering that NPs cannot be deposited dire...

Patterns allow division of knowledge into manageable pieces. It is necessary to develop Pattern Management System (PMS) in order to effectively use patterns. In this article components of PMS are proposed. PMS uses metadata about patterns and database of patterns to guide management of patterns. Textual descriptions of patterns and models what specify pattern are stored in the database of patte...

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a difficult disorder to study because there is no convincing evidence for a simple, basal, physiologic lesion associated with it. PMS is characterized by a cyclic recurrence of symptoms of varying severity and is temporally related to menstruation, with exacerbation of symptoms during the luteal phase. Some new models are being developed to aid in studying PMS.

Studies suggest that blood calcium and vitamin D levels are lower in women with PMS and that calcium supplementation may reduce symptom severity, but it is unknown whether these nutrients may prevent the initial development of PMS. METHODS We conducted a case-control study nested within the pros...
