Two Zn MOFs, MOF-645 and MOF-646, comprised of polarized 1,3-azulenedicarboxylate were synthesized. The guest free MOF-646 showed strong MOF-H(2) interactions (7.8-6.8 kJ mol(-1)), which revealed the significant impact of internally polarized azulene backbone to stabilized H(2) molecules in the framework.
BACKGROUND Older adults with concerns of falling show decrements of gait stability under single (ST) and dual task (DT) conditions. To compare the effects of a DT training integrating task managing strategies for independent living older adults with and without concern about falling (CoF) to a non-training control group on walking performance under ST and DT conditions. METHODS Single center ...
A functional crosstalk between epigenetic regulators and metabolic control could provide a mechanism to adapt cellular responses to environmental cues. We report that the well-known nuclear MYST family acetyl transferase MOF and a subset of its non-specific lethal complex partners reside in mitochondria. MOF regulates oxidative phosphorylation by controlling expression of respiratory genes from...
Abstract: CO2 is one of the most important greenhouse gases and its removal from flue gas and natural gas has become increasingly important. We report the synthesis, characterization, and CO2 adsorption properties of two similar metal organic frameworks; Co and Ni based MOF-74. The BET specific surface areas of MOF-74(Co) and MOF-74(Ni) MOFs were 1,406 and 1,418 mg, respectively with the identi...
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs), due to their low-density, high-porosity, and high-stability, have promising applications in gas storage. In this study we have explored the potential of COFs doped with Li and Ca metal atoms for storing hydrogen under ambient thermodynamic conditions. Using density functional theory we have performed detailed calculations of the sites Li and Ca atoms occupy i...
Central odontogenic fi broma (COF) is a rare benign odontogenic tumor characterized by variable amounts of inactive-looking odontogenic epithelium embedded in a mature fi brous stroma corresponding to 0-5.5% of all odontogenic tumors. COF may be seen at any age, but it is diagnosed most frequently in patients between the second and fourth decades of life. The lesion is asymptomatic except the s...
Cystic ovarian follicles (COF) are an important ovarian dysfunction and a major cause of reproductive failure in dairy cattle. Due to the complexity of the disorder and the heterogeneity of the clinical signs, a clear definition is lacking. A follicle becomes cystic when it fails to ovulate and persists on the ovary. Despite an abundance of literature on the subject, the exact pathogenesis of C...
The low conductivity of two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks (2D COFs), and most related coordination polymers, limits their applicability in optoelectronic and electrical energy storage (EES) devices. Although some networks exhibit promising conductivity, these examples generally lack structural versatility, one of the most attractive features of framework materials design. Here we enha...
Due to increasing demand for higher performance, greater flexibility, smaller size, and lighter weight in electronic devices, extensive studies on flexible electronic packages have been carried out. However, there has been little research on flexible packages by wafer level package (WLP) technology using anisotropic conductive films (ACFs) and flex substrates, an innovative packaging technology...
of mineralized substances, which may be bony or cementum like in appearance. The lesion, termed as cemento-ossifying fibroma, has been regarded as an osteogenic neoplasm. The fibrous dysplasia in which the normal bone structure is replaced by collagenous tissue is normally regarded as non-neoplastic. The cemento-ossifying fibromas (COF), in some cases has been demarcated into ossifying and ceme...
