Magnetic biosensors are an important part of biomedical applications of magnetic materials. As the living tissue is basically a "soft matter." this study addresses the development of ferrogels (FG) with micron sized magnetic particles of magnetite and strontium hexaferrite mimicking the living tissue. The basic composition of the FG comprised the polymeric network of polyacrylamide, synthesized...

We present experimental results on the hysteresis and relaxation of Fe/Ba hexaferrite composite samples prepared by ball milling starting from precursor Fe and Ba hexaferrite particles. Our results show that, for maximum applied fields of up to 8 kOe, the measured loops show a shift of up to 85 Oe. The compositional dependence of that loop displacement presents two maxima ~at approximately x50....

The dipolar energy contribution to the anisotropy of M, Wand Y-type hexagonal fenites is examined. The geometrical coeff~cients kij are given, so that a calculation for any hexaferrite with the same structure can be effected. Differences in the results of previous works are explained as due to a simplifying assumption, the validity of which is restricted. The ambiguity regarding dipolar energy ...

W-type hexaferrites were discovered in the 1950s and are of interest for their potential applications. In this context, many researchers have conducted studies on partial substitution Fe sites order to modify electric magnetic properties. study, SrYb using Al3+ as substitutes Fe3+ with nominal composition Sr0.85Yb0.15Zn1.5Co0.5AlxFe16−xO27 (0.00 ≤ x 1.25) successfully synthesized via two-step c...

Recent extensive studies on magnetoelectric multiferroics have revealed that a new class of multiferroics, that is, magneticallyinduced ferroelectrics in which ferroelectricity is induced by complex magnetic orders, such as spiral orders, exhibit giant magnetoelectric effects, remarkable changes in electric polarization in response to a magnetic field. Although these magnetically-induced ferroe...
